Very excited to see Casey up here... Liked what I saw from Ness was good for the kid to get some NHL time this year.
Staple also said Nabakov and Hamonic are back in for tomorrow's game.

Nice, looking forward to seeing him play.
Where does our roster stand now, even if Hamonic comes back seems we may be shy although I may be miscounting. Another move? Haley?

Figured he'd get a look sooner or later. Looking forward to seeing him Friday against the Rangers!

Wondering if something's brewing in the background here. Excited to see how Cizikas does against NHL'ers, but not so much if it's going to be piddly 4th line icetime...

I'm very excited to see him play with the Isles. Hopefully Rolston is scratched or perhaps Bailey may not be ready to go. If he's not going to be playing on the 3rd line or higher, Cizikas shouldn't have been called up.

Awesome! Especially with Hamonic and Nabokov back in. I'd go:
Moulson-Tavares-Parenteau
Grabner-Nielsen-Okposo
Martin-Cizikas-Niedereitter
Rolston-Reasoner-Pandolfo
I wish they called up Haley as well to plug in and take Rolston out.

Great to hear
Will be interesting to see how Casey bodes in the NHL, especially for a Ranger game. I don't want him to be up here too long though.

Once that 3rd line matures, we may not actually have to worry about lacking toughness....

He left the last game early and hasn't practiced since. Back spasms. No word yet if he will be ready tomorrow.

Interesting for sure.
Casey has shown no reason why his game won't translate to the NHL. Everyone continues to cap him as a 3rd liner just because of his work ethic, however, he has great hands and scoring touch.
GO CASEY!

as if we are not the smallest least physical team in the entire NHL. Lets not bring up Michael Haley who is beating up heavyweights and scoring goals in the AHL, nope he doesn't deserve a call up against your biggest rival.

Well with Bailey hurt it makes sense. I look forward to see what he's got.
He should definitely be on the 3rd line though. There's no damn reason to put Reasoner/Pandolfo on the 3rd line.

Why can't it just be a reward of a couple of games with the big club for all his hard work. Why do we always have to go negative?

Because we haven't won a playoff series since 1993

I like the idea of Cizikas however if I were going to call anyone up it would be Ullstrom. Then again with the roll the SoundTigers have been on I am not sure if I would mess with their chemistry. Especially not by taking their leading scorer.
HOWEVER, that is not to say that Cizikas has not earned his shot. This could be a real confidence builder and send a message that if you play well you can earn a legit shot.
