Anyway, good luck getting out of Columbus as fast as you can Jack, you're a winner and you deserve to play on a good team. You'll be missed.
THIS!!! i wont judge the move till some time next year but you're 100% in giving our GM crap for the "kings tattoo" stuff.

Doesn't that always happen with our team? JJ will use this to fuel his inner JMFJ! I wish him all the best.

Won't matter, we got a player who has already blossomed. But knowing our franchise history with trades, I wouldn't doubt it

Jack will hopefully be the go to guy in Columbus and I think that will do wonders for him and his confidence. He gets to be closer to his friends and family which should give him an emotional boost.

Thanks for the hard work put in with the Kings Jack, you gave everything you could considering the hype, the bad luck and the crappy coaching you've gotten.

I'll be rooting for you like I always was.

JJ's comment on facebook

Quote:
I'd like to thank the LA Kings and all of their great fans for the past 5 years. I have so many great memories that I will cherish forever. I'm thrilled for the new opportunity with the Columbus Blue Jackets and hope to contribute in the turn around of the organization. I hate losing and will give my best effort every time I take the ice. It's a process, but my ultimate goal is still the same, and that's to win the Stanley Cup. I can't wait to get to work in Columbus and I thank all my fans for their support throughout my career.

He's a proud Michigan Wolverine and he couldn't be any happier to take his talents to Buckeye land.

Absolutely love this player. Plays with an edge and takes a lot of pride in what he does (and is )
Also, just things like him negotiating his own contract and finishing his degree in the summer speaks volumes of him.

All the best Jack.

Oh and also, just taking the time to sign an autograph

Jack's done nothing but be a loyal King his whole career. I'll wear my #3 jersey with pride. I still hope he gets to raise the Cup in a Kings' sweater one day, although I'm not sure if he would want to come back with how he was left out to dry here. Had the team played to expectations, I don't ever see this trade occurring. Doughty better pull his head out of his ass soon.

Carter, you have big shoes to fill as far as I'm concerned.

Also, as JMFJ is my favorite player, I'm a minor CBJ fan now by association. Never thought I'd see the day. I'll feel even worse for him when Nash either is traded or walks. It really sucks that he spent his last 5 years helping rebuild this organization, and now he is going to one that is even further behind than the Kings were 5 years ago. That just leaves an utterly sour taste in my mouth.

It's gonna be really funny in 6 years when Columbus finishes their rebuild and they don't re-sign Johnson and he goes to like, Toronto or something at the start of their rebuild too.

And by funny I mean depressing.

Sad to see JJ be traded away. I always thought of him as a big part of the "core" (i.e. basically untouchable).

I wish him good luck with the jackets and hope he knows he will be missed!

It'll be odd without Johnson, since there's been a lot of time invested in him. One way or another though, the Kings were going to need another forward. Parise isn't coming here. Nash wasn't going to come here. Johnson had the most value, both because of his talent, and also because of the depth the Kings have on the blueline.

Johnson had his moments, both good and bad. Nothing bad to say about him, he gave whatever he had.

Not a bad little poem now that I think about it.

Only 4 pages for ol' JMFJ huh?

Figures.

I thought the kid poured his heart and soul onto the ice every night. His hockey IQ was a little suspect but no doubt a HIGHLY skilled player that will be a good NHLer and when all is said and done will be an above average player.

Thanks for all your hard work and best of luck, Jack.

Good luck in Columbus JJ. He was a class act in his time here and always seemed like he was having a good time. It looks like he will be wearing number 7 in Columbus.

Alot of people love to rag on JMFJ while he was here.

The guy was King thru and thru. He is a class act. Last night he was in Columbus at the game signing autographs for the fans. I will miss Jack!

Jack Johnson Appreciation!!!

All the best to you Jack 'My Friend' Johnson...

I wear your jersey to games and with the same pride you always did.
Like so many others I was and am sad to see you leave the Kings!
All the best to you and we your fans know that so long as you keep up
with the work ethic and desire you have to succeed you will be the top end
#1 D-Man you were projected to be coming out of Michigan U.

Thanks for your outstanding efforts and your gracious conduct with the fans!
Your not just a good role model for your younger brother but even for some of
us older fellows too... Good Luck with your new team and in your new town.
I am sure you will own it as you did LA.

Johnson stepped up and played BIG when Doughty was out. I expect he'll do the same in Columbus once the team gets up and running, who the hell knows when that will be...
