Way too much passing it around. Why not shoot on the freaking net? Subban's shots sucked. Desharnais had a couple times in which he should have shot!

Ok I hear you, however, the third and fourth line guys(as I have been reminded) can be replaced every year with young guys or cheap ufa's that can do the same job. My problem with the Habs and deep down it has always been my concern for at least the last 15 years is the judgement of talent for a top 6 role. It seem to me that outside of Damphousse and Richer and Maybe Kovalev and Paciretty that this org has bee severly lacking in top 6 talent. I hear the bias of the fan base in over evaluating a players talent because of the CH on the front, but I hear the league looking at most of our top guys in a 2nd or 3rd line complimentary role when it comes to players that team A, B or C would want off the Habs so called top 6.

If we get a GM who knows wtf he's doing, the D will get shored up, the team will get tougher/bigger and maybe we see a move for a 1st line center. Add Gio, Markov, lottery pick may play(minus Gomez, Campoli, Kaberle, AK).....I'd rather see the glass half full. There is a LOT of work to do, though.
I like your optimism....I've been watching the Habs for a very long time and they've been swimming in mediocrity for a hellishly long time.
Every fan sees what this team needs...the problem is no Habs GM in the past 20 years has been able to obtain all the pieces and I hate to think this is as good as it's gonna get.....no superstar players, no innovative coaches....just 4 lines rolling over, and over, and over.

Does Subban ever try a different kind of shot? It's either wide or poorly telegraphed... does he ever hit the net?

They can't score if they don't shoot. They had some decent positions for shots but tried the extra pass. Sometimes, you just oughta shoot and get a guy in front of the d*** net!

Oh...I'm with you... I just don't think you need a superstar to be a top tier team. It helps...but it's not needed. Gainey and Gauthier have made so many bad moves/non moves it has set the team back quite a bit. Thank goodness for Timmins. I have no idea how bad the Habs would be if we had Columbus' amateur scouting staff.

Love DD overall but he has to shoot more. His shot is not that bad.
