Not the best start, but a great 2nd half to that period. I thought Dubinsky's line played well that period, and it was huge for us to get the PPG.

Ain't no thang, we will win this game...With Biron in net.

Lol, Duby checking out the ice girls.

Swap Dubi with Hags. Hags hasn't been too productive, and Dubi might have been our beest player in the 1st

That period was just a steaming pile of dog ****. They were better towards the end but still.

Rupp has been disappointing. The Winter Classic is pretty much the only game where he's done anything.

Hey-- Quick question. My net connection isn't strong enough for the stream (stupid storm). Are MDZ and McDonagh playing together? NHL had them both as -2's.

First goal was **** coverage by the whole team.
Second goals on Marty, that's a shot an NHL goalie needs to save, would be saying the same thing if Hank was in net.

Frankly, I'm surprised the PP was able to come out and get the goal back. If this game and tomorrow night's game end up swaying Sather to make a bigger play for Nash it'll be a mistake. Although the Rangers really do need to wake up and start putting the puck in the ****ing net again consistently.

Come on now

they seem to be about the only line that can sustain any real offensive zone pressure, its just too bad they can't score

Yes but there's no denying that 2nd goal was unacceptable.

I am in disbelief at how many ex-Rangers destroy us. Parentau legit scores every time we play the Islanders.

Man I would give any player any pick any prospect to have a player like Tavares . He is the real deal . He is an elite player who dominates just about every shift he's on the ice and has a real high compete level . I'm jealous we never sucked enough to ever get a TRUE corner stone FRANCHISE player since # 2 .
Oh yeah and watching Brad Richards cycle and play along the boards is brutal . Not blaming the guy but it's just not his strong point . Guys on here love to throw the word " SOFT " around a lot . BR is the epitome of SOFT .

Home ice all throughout the EC and possibly the SC is the goal. If the Rangers lose the division and drop to 4th or 5th, they go from hosting all three rounds to hosting only one.

67 games in not a lot for a Cup winner. I dont think an extra 4 or 5 games makes the difference between the Cup and a quick exit.

Score 3 more goals and hold the Isles to only 5 more shots total on Biron and we might have a chance.

Second half of the period was a lot better. Defense has had consistent stretches of ****tiness for a while now.

Correct- Boyle, Prust, and Dubinsky. I have a huge problem with a third line that has a combined 14 goals when the team has played nearly 60 games.

How that's a 1v1 snipe. Your used to hank bailing us out everytime.

Seriously give the other team credit that was a pretty decent shot on paps part.

That was a terrible shot from outside the circle with no screen. There is no excuse for him giving that up.

Its the definition of a SOFTY.

And if Gaborik shot it we'd be talking about his amazing release

Not that I do not think the 2nd goal was unstoppable - but it did look like a strange deflection off our defenders stick. Would like to see it again in slow-mo

Point still stands. Boyle and Prust are constantly on the ice. They play too much.

It was a good shot. But it was very savable.

I give other teams credit plenty, I just think like Chicago they came out with a "my **** don't stink" attitude and Torts further proved this by playing our backup against them. The islanders bring it against us. They played well after the goals, it's not nearly over yet.

It wasn't soft. It was an average goal you see every NHL game.

Soft? That was Staal's goal. We shouldn't even have a goal based on our period. Nabokov gifted us one.
