Khabi is probably a hot commodity next couple of days with teams having goalie woes

Anyone think Khabi + Omark + 2nd could get us Schenn? I think he could be a very good D-Partner for Petry.

So many opinions in the hockey media who don't have a clue. These analysts here in the US have probably never seen the oilers play once yet they seem to feel qualified to state their opinion anyway. Don't know who this francis is and don't want to. So glad Hemsky resigned !

We would have to give up way more than that to get Schenn.

I think Bishop is stated to be a UFA if he doesn't get a certain amount of games.

I doubt he will get any amount of games due to how competitive St. Louis is now for a higher playoff seed.

Might as well make a pitch for him at July 1st.

Take out the 2nd. Khabi and omark might land the monster. I think the monster is a good goalie-just needs to be retrained some.

Ya he is a fa but we get him now is a better chance at signing him than competing with other teams. We need to get a early start on the goalie front imo.

for bishop not to become a UFA--he would need to get traded today and play every single game for the rest of the season

@FriedgeHNIC: Ron Wilson: "2 goals at beginning of the game were stoppable...we're kinda always waiting now for something bad to happen on the goal line."

Wow. Wilson is not doing Reimer any favours.

No point crying over spilled milk, but Halak was traded for Lars Eller and Ian Shultz. And look where st.louis is....

Not feeling the love for Schenn others obviously have. Everytime I see him, he looks slow and sluggish. He still makes a whack of boneheaded plays and his hockey IQ doesn't seem too high for a guy that's been in the league for few years now. Smid made mistakes in his formative years, but at least he had very good mobility.

I wonder if there's a fit in Philadelphia for Khabibulin?

For better or worse, they are in it now for the long-term with Bryzgalov. Khabby being a veteran Russian tender. . . might be a good mentor for Ilya. If that were the case, the extra year actually becomes a good thing for the Flyers.

We'd have to take some salary back to make the cap work for them, obviously. Not sure what contract we'd be willing to take from them to do that, though.

System goalie who got hot in Montreal. Look at Elliott's numbers. It's Hitchcock's system. Reminds me of "system QBs" in the NFL and moreso NCAA football.

I'd pass on Schenn every day of the week unless they traded him for something that was at least fair value for a kid that's been struggling, a healthy scratch, and still being valued for his potential not his actual results.

D-men take a while, and we have seen the time it took Smid to get to where he is today, but he's not the guy you give up a big package for IMO.

Well now I think they give up way too much. I was going off their HF list. Never mind

I'm not sure we'll get too much along side Gustavsson if the trade happens.

Khabby
for
Gustavsson + LW David Broll + D Granberg

I'm just not sure we'll get anything along side Gustavsson for Khabby.

What about gragnani? Would he be available? Or sekera? I just know that buffalo has 7 d-men so maybe we can target one on the cheap? I have no sources, just spitballing here

I responded to this on the main board. I would be thrilled if we got MAG. I just don't know if he is available and what Buffalo wants for him.

Also best initials - MAG

Is Insidetherink a legit tweeter or does he randomly spew garbage? Never heard of the guy but he's said a couple of times now that Edmonton and Toronto have talked and Franson is on the table.

I can't see any team dealing for Khabby, he's hurt with groin problmes he has had in the past. No team will want to deal for him if he is out for any length of time.

Barker should be available for close to free. Peckham I still like. No need to dump him for peanuts.
