We need this win big time and pretty pumped to see what Czikas looks like up playing with the big club. The kid may be small but has heart. Really looking foward to see how he palys.

I dont have a good feeling about this game. The Rangers are the much better team. We are tottaly outmatched in the physical department(thats a shocker). I just dont understand how a player like Haley is not up for this game against our biggest RIVALS when the Rangers are dressing a 4th line with Rupp and Bickle and then have Prust playing on the 3rd line. I just dont get it. Im sure we will be manhandled tonight.

If we are losing during the game then I dought the Rags will try any rough stuff but if by some slim chance we actually take a big lead those Rag players will be taking cheapshots and trying to start fights.

And as someone else mentioned, outside of a shutout against the Leafs in January, he hasn't been too great of late.

Best of luck tonight, I'm missing it because of work but I'll make sure to catch the highlights later. Should be a good one.
Thanks for the updates, OP is now updated.

Not to troll or start an argument or anything like that, but the Rangers are not a dirty team. Just because it's a rivalry game doesn't mean we're gonna play different than usual.

Should be a good one tonight.

Bickel is playing defense, and the Rangers have no reason to take cheapshots. We never do. There is a difference between fighters, and cheapshot artists, like the ones in Philly and Boston

Rangers are gonna come out physical. We really should have called up Haley and scratch rolston. The numbers game might not allow that. I really REALLY hate Rolston.
Wish we had Haley and Olsen in our lineup.
Maybe Rolston gets wrecked for the rest of the season.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, untalented players that will do absolutely to help this team win, that is exactly what we need! Also Olson was traded by Bridgeport today.

Tavares isn't that good because he gets all of his points against backup goalies.

I have no love for the Rags but they are a good team that has bought into Torts system and are playing it with consistency.
Asfar as despicable low lives, I think you are confusing them with the team from Pfilthy. About the only Rag sI think is a dick is Dubinsky and Rupp. maybe Boyle and Bickel a bit. It's their fans and media that are puke worthy.
Regardless, I just wanta beat them.

With Nabokov and Hamonic back in there, we will win this game and bring back the playoffs push

Still better than Haley. They already brought Haley up to spark this team, and all it resulted in was Haley being invisible every time he took the ice. How can anybody in their right mind think he would do anything for this team?

Where do these fans come from. How anyone can like being as soft as us is beyond me.
Another pacifist fan. At least Haley will bring energy hit someone and play physical and defend teammates. He will bring more to the 4th line then the soft hacks you have on their all year.

Hows your soft as butter 4th line done fo you this year? 3 points. Thats right end of argument.

I agree with your original point ledzep, but come on, rolston and reasoner have been AWFUL. saying either is better than anyone at this point is awful

On my way out for hurricane wings before heading to the game...don't have a good feeling about the game or the amount of ranger fans that will be there tonight.. maybe that means we will get the win.

I am fully convinced your either Michael Haley or his younger brother.. Every thread with you today has to do with Haley. You hijacked the Cizikas thread because you were so offended they didnt call up a brawler. Dude give it a rest its embarrassing

Michael Haley is not good!!! The NYR are in 1st place, they have nothing to gain from coming in and beating us up. They can do that well enough with there offense. You may want Wrestlemania, but to the Rangers its just a Friday night Home game while playing away.

I suppose you like being pushed around game after game like ragdolls and watching JT or PAP try to get physical and fail? Rag$ are gonna dominate us hitting wise really good tonight. I'll take Haley over Rolston anyday.

I dont expect anything more than the usually...These games are always intense....

Torts will have his team focused on playing good Hockey rather then to stray off from what has been working...

Well, as I can see from some Islanders fans in this thread, we can all agree that Philthy are the ones with issues when they're losing

I disagree. There is a good reason why he's toiling in Europe instead of playing with the Islanders. He just was not good enough. He is a guy that is not as good as the sum of his parts. Whether you hate or love Haley, Joensuu is not the guy to prove a point with. Good riddance. He might put it together one day, but he's not a guy I will miss. I don't see him coming back to haunt us like Bertuzzi.

One more point...I don't think anyone is disagreeing that we need guys with heart/grit AND talent. Haley is lacking somewhat in the latter department, although he has much more talent than your typical goon. However, until we get players with talent and grit, we need some guys who actually will stand up for their teammates...as opposed to a guy like Okposo. He was SUPPOSED TO BE a power forward. He is a finesse forward in a power forward's body. Has anyone ever seen that guy lay a good hit?!?! I once went to a bar and this big dude grabbed my buddy's girlfriend's hootch. Well, as soon as it happened, my buddy turned away like he did not see it to let the rest of us handle it. Okposo is THAT GUY.

I'd claim both Jay Rosehill and Darryl Boyce from the Leafs. A better Trevor Gillies and Boyce can skate and can battle, a tenacious little player.

Boyce- Haley - Rosehill would provide energy and toughness.

Our bottom six go through minutes and accomplish zero, they aren't even noticeable unless they get scored on, which happens far too often.
