i wanted the last two in red for it to sink in...for all the "ballhog" lables the guy is still top 10 ALL TIME in playoff assists as a shooting guard. i picked playoff stats since there are always guys who put up regular season stats who can't back it up int he playoffs..ya know...guys like Tmac
look at gasol before and after kobe...look at any player's stats before and after teamed with kobe and you will in fact see what all objective observers see...Kobe makes everyone on his team better.
oh yeah and saying kobe failed in 2005-2008 until he got Gasol...wtf are you smoking dude why dont you look at the roster for those years:
18 Sasha Vujacic PG

8 Kobe Bryant SG
23 Von Wafer PG --rookie DNP
1 William "Smush" Parker G

11 Devin Green G ---rookie DNP
2 Aaron McKie PG/SG ---old DNP
24 Jim Jackson G/F ---old DNP
9 Laron Profit G/SF ---who?
4 Luke Walton SF

3 Devean George SF

7 Lamar Odom SF
43 Brian Cook PF

14 Stanislav Medvedenko PF/C

54 Kwame Brown PF/C The 'Ship is ours!
21 Ronny Turiaf * PF heart issue DNP all year
31 Chris Mihm C decent center for a year or 2
54 Andrew Bynum C rookie DNP
2006-2007 was basiclly the same roster and they still nearly took out the Suns in round 1, more proof kobe makes his teammates better, but only so much you can do with smush and kwame as your starters

...so tell me again why kobe did not lead this group of misfits to the title during those years???
i would apologize for going off topic but the OP pretty much derailed their own thread from post #1
