Strong Market For Pahlsson

Hearing there's a strong market for #CBJ C Sammy Pahlsson. Lucky if #CBJ get a second-round pick; probably a third or fourth.

I know, captain obvious chiming in.

Howson needs to wait until the deadline, someone will give him a second. If he manages to pull that off, that would be a plus for the Jackets. It would give them 4 and possibly 5 picks in the first two rounds.

I read that Pittsburgh has been scouting him heavily for the past 2 weeks or so.

Give Columbus back their 4th for him?

I think Pahlsson can fetch a 2nd from a team in desperate need of a 2-way forward

Pahlsson deserved MVP when the Ducks won the cup.

The Ducks took a lot of penalties. And Pahlsson was the guy out there 5 on 4 or 5 on 3. He even chipped in offensively.

If the price isn't too high would be great for the Pens

Well like Portzline said, they would be lucky to get a 2nd; probably a 3rd or 4th. Columbus' 4th would be just like a 3rd.

But a team could possibly trade a 2nd for him.

Is he a UFA at end of year? If so, I find it hard to believe someone wouldn't give at least a 3rd + solid prospect

Totally agree here. And it wouldn't shock me if the Ducks went ahead and brought him back.

I would give up Canucks 4th + mid tier prospect.

I know our 4th line would have 3 centers. But Pahlsson and Malhotra are pretty comparable players.

And Canucks fans who arent dumb and get mad because Malhotra isnt scoring knows exactly what Manny brings to the team.

As a Leafs fan, I'd certainly pay the price if it was a 3rd. Do it without hesitation. If it was 3rd + meh prospect, still do it.

Malhotra - Pahlsson - Lapierre is a very good 4th line, with the centers switching to take draws on their strong side, however Pahlsson has a pretty big cap hit.

I could see him landing in WPG. or NYR.

Maybe Pittsburgh could get something worked out though. Hope so!
