Dude, I'm not blasting you for passing along the info. I just question the feasibility of the overall scenario. Relax.
Well stating the obvious "Ill wait for a reputable source to confirm it". I mean thats common sense that we wait for a guy like Dreger or McKenzie to confirm it. Rumors are just that, rumors. Nothing more, nothing less.
Gotcha. Although it's probably as feasible as trading for Ovechkin at the moment, it's still fun to think about. It's hard to imagine what Anaheim would want.
Ugh. Now that one... I don't care WHO says it, whether it be Bobby Mac or Dreger... I can't take that seriously. I saw that thread on the main board. Just started laughing at it.
Did you not read the ensuing posts? That would answer your question. Not exactly sure whether it is, just being posted for the sake of monday being the trade deadline.
Gragnani is listed as a scratch tonight in the GDT . What is the reasoning behind that...has he fell out of favor in Buffalo ? He had great Junior and AHL #'s and awards and accolades and had performed well for the Sabres earlier . What gives...and he is a RFA and only making 550,000 this year .

Gragnani has been pretty much a defensive liability for the Sabres.
I wonder how his PP skills are ? He had great numbers in Jr and The AHL...might be a good Sather project on the cheap . He could be a 7th guy on our Blueline rather than Bickel in a playoff series...just a thought !
We now have the following prorated cap space available on Monday (excluding any cap space we took back in form of roster player(s) from FLA - which I would think is zilch since the prospect and 3rd rounder we got will amount to nothingon the roster):
$6.959.621
$3.800.000 (Wolski trade)
$ 838.000 (Sauer on LTIR) $11.597.621 TOTAL
Gotta figure we will deal Woywitka as well (to Phoenix?? for a 7th is my guess) at the deadline and his $650.000 cap hit will be replaced by another roster player - higher paid (Sarich??). That means we have $12.247.621 in space we can take back on Monday. Before we start adding eventual salaries from our 20 roster players that would be added on top of this if one of them are dealt...

I don't think the full 3.8 million comes off, isn't it pro-rated at this point?
His cap hit still counts for the amount of days he was on the NHL roster.
