I would love to have Brown
I would Love to get Streit
I would like to get Gaustad
I would be ok with getting Ryder
I would be pleased with Souray (Better than Corvo)
I think maybe we don't watch Ryder play much when he's in Dallas. He'll likely end up around/just below the 30 goal mark, which is about usual for him. We're not seeing his frustrating tendency to glide around the ice at times instead of using his feet. We are mostly seeing his highlights. So he could come back here and play exactly like he has been in Dallas and we'd still be pissed off with him. Until he beats Fleury with his wicked wristah, that is.
I really think adding a guy like Sarich would be a good idea as we need defensive depth, but that seems like a massive overpayment for me. I pictured Sarich as a 7th d-man on this team.
The 2nd one is not. LA is looking for scoring right now. Non of your offer addresses that right now. Lombardi's job is on the line if they miss so he's in panic mode. Rebuilding teams could empty their prospect pool for their old vets this year.
Oh and the other two aren't likely either but the 2nd one isn't close to what LA is looking for.
Sometimes it feels like every couple months Iginla talk comes up and I have to get it out.
I'll find the link where it was a couple of the 'insiders' saying that Boston was all over the Iginla talk until Feaster said they were going all in.
Now Feaster is saying that the vets are letting the team down and he won't stand pat at the deadline like he did last year and was 'fooled' by the players. Direct quote.
What if we acquire Ryder w/ Souray, and then flip Ryder, our OHL prospects not named Hamilton, and a pick(s) for Iggy?
Well, the pick to Dallas is going to be higher and in 2013 (conditional 2nd).
We'd likely have to take Penner back since we can't offer a secondary scorer, so basically we'd be clearing salary for LA to use other assets for the scorer they need.
I don't know much about Sarich, but Hamill has no value, and Sarich has been below replacement level this year and even less valuable than Corvo has statistically.

The Bruins send
Jordan Caron
Benoit Pouliot
A conditional 2013 pick (If Bruins make the finals its a first, If not its a second rounder)
To the Dallas Stars for :
Sheldon Souray
Michael Ryder
Am told the Bruins want Morrow (which I did say last week) But Dallas is prepared to do that deal with Ryder involved instead. Don't think it gets you Souray/Morrow

Kelly = Secondary scoring and cap relief
Kampfer = a young defenseman
Pick = 1st round pick
That pairs exactly to what Dreger tweeted LA wants. Don't see what's so "brain dead" about that.
That being said i do agree that teams like TOR. will really drive up his price cause i'm sure they'll throw a good amount at LA.
There's "young defenseman" and there's "young" "defenseman".
I don't see LA trading their captain for a package highlighed by a guy who will probably never be an everyday NHL player. I think you're looking at McQuaid or Boychuk, and Boychuk offers no cap relief to LA.
I see LA asking for Kelly and McQuaid. And I could see PC biting. And I wouldn't like it one bit.
