If it is Kadri, that will tell me the organization is trying to tell others we consider him our top prospect for trade purposes. There is no way it's Kadri if it's based on merit, by all accounts he's been less than impressive this latest stint (which I understand btw). Nope, if it's Kadri, it's a showcase, otherwise it's Frattin.

listen even with kadri not putting up the points that he should check the stats frattin has started to score with kadri on his line ,kadri gets double and sometimes tripple teamed alot of attention which is taken away from frattin, not saying fratts does not deserve it but he is not in kadris class, thus kadri should get the call up

I don't think we can afford to give Kadri audition against a team we need to beat in Washington, Especially when Frattin has been really tearing it up with the Marlies.

I can't see how one game against Washington will sway the Jackets thoughts on Kadri anyway.

My guess would be Frattin - plus, they will likely make a deal - not that I think it will help too much at this point.
Well, I'd say our first line and probably our fourth line have been adequate/good for the last few games... Kessel has a 5 game point streak right now (and 9 games with at least a point in the last 10) and while our 4th line hasn't been scoring, they're doing a decent job of forechecking, winning faceoffs, and pressuring in the offensive zone....

Does anyone else remember all the "demote Frattin" threads and all the bashing this guy took?

I do.

I recall a few posters on here who gave you a hard time for supporting him and sided with the coach/burke on the demotion. Now watch these same people flip flop and waffle.

Man that's pretty harsh. Kadri was every bit as effective as Frattin when he was up. He wasn't a defensive liability either. I would certainly be fine if Kadri came up because without a doubt he had several more impressive games then Frattin did during his time with the Leafs this year. That being said I'd be happy with Frattin being up cuz I'd love to see if he could actually start potting a few this time.

You've got that right. He only got the wrath of Leaf Nation because he beat out Kadri for a spot on the roster and that really irked them. They couldn't acknowledge the complete game he has, instead just focussing on the point totals despite him receiving inadequate linemates and icetime.

I'm quite sure it will be Frattin. It will definitely be someone with some size, and obviously he fits that bill.

He took those bashings because he had 1 goal in the 20 games. That was as much as 20 career points brown, and only better than dupuis. After frattin started finding his way in the nhl and ahl, there were no frattin bashings.

Being sent down was the best thing that could happen to Frattin.
Being repeatedly sent down is looking like it might be screwing up Kadri's development a bit. Pts/G dropping like a rock.
It is common knowledge that it is disheartening to be demoted. Once it becomes a pattern it's gotta have a negative effect on your play.

Nothing like motivating a rookie by assigning him to the AHL because of the risk of losing an veteran asset on the waiver wire even though he is not performing.

And people wonder why the team plays with mediocrity and without passion.

Silly Leafs fans just don't get that it isn't Frattin's fault that Kadri is not capable of playing on the third line...

I got why he was sent down, based on clearing waivers, but he was providing a nice spark and starting to find his touch. Anyways, let's just hope he's called up, we desperately need some jam and energy on that third line and he can bring that in spades. I don't know why, but I just have a really good feeling this kid is a keeper.

Nothing wrong with it either. He's young and could use time in the AHL.

But Lombardi, Armstrong, Crabb, etc. are just peaches and cream in the NHL, right?

If it's me I recall Frattin. He can score and he brings hustle and jam to the lineup. A real effort level.

How's the finish of Lombardi, Boyce, Rosehill, Armstrong, and Crabb been this season?

Play away from the puck?

Frattin can develop and get more ice-time with the Marlies. It was the right thing to do. Why do you have to turn everything into an argument?

Sit Crabb and if Lombardi is a scratch tomorrow due to being sick bring both Kadri and Frattin to play both on Connolly's wings.

Also looks like Armstrong back in tomorrow, could Lombo finally see the press box?
We can only hope.

Crabb - Connolly - Frattin?
Brown - Steckel - Armstrong?

That looks so much better without Boyce and Lombardi -- especially Lombardi...
