Much better game tonight. Great jump from the start and we never really reverted to sleepwalking. Even if we lost this game, I definitely liked the effort throughout.

But we won anyway, in Carolina no less. Smithson & Wolski looked good. Peters was ridiculous. Lets put away the Canadians tomorrow and start up another batch of wins on home ice.

Also the 3 stars was a joke. I could see Peters as number one but not Staal.

E. Staal (Hurricanes - C): Goals: 0, Assists: 1

W. Wolski (Panthers - LW): Goals: 1, Assists: 0

J. Faulk (Hurricanes - D): Goals: 1, Assists: 0

Yeah, big joke. Faulk was not deserving whatsoever of a star. Peters made 45 saves, can't at least give him a star?

Uh... what about Theodore? I thought he held us in the game, no matter what if it wasn't for Theo's great performances these past games we would've been scored on 5-6 times every game.

Notice how we have lost by 1-2 goals EVERY game?

And we lose 1-0 or 2-0 or 2-1 , 3-2.

Not sure. It didn't look like anything happened to Flash. Maybe someone dumped Kopy to the ice on the way back to the bench?

I'm so glad I just stayed up late to watch that game as it's about 2:30am now. That was the kind of game where they just had to get a win in as I felt the overall play was much better than in the past four games. I was quite impressed with Wolski's first game as he was all over the puck tonight and Smithson was noticeable when on the ice. So far so good for Tallon's trades. Weiss seemed more into it this game too. He just seems so overworked and exhausted. Glad to see him smile after the goal. You can tell a weight just came off of his shoulders. It would be great to get another win tomorrow at home against the Habs. Hopefully this is the beginning of positive things to come

check these out and you'll see. he might be a bit rusty.

edit: actually i guess his change up move is coming from the other side.
Thanks for this and your insights man. Very interesting...

So happy about the win. Especially because they managed to claw it back from 2 goals down. The two new additions played well and after 1 game seem to be good moves. Obviously too early to tell but I like what I've seen so far.

Matthias was key down the stretch...making passes, holding onto the puck and skating hard. The old Panthers would play the puck like a grenade, then slip on a banana peel.

Does anyone have the video of Wolski shootout attempt last night vs Carolina? After watching the video of him and all his shootout moves in Colorado I would love to see what he tried to do last night. Thanks

Hey tried to do the signature move but was in way too close and couldn't reach back to tap it in right.

Peters needs to bite on the fake in order for Wolski to have success with that move, but he didnt bite at all, so it doesnt matter how close or far he was.

I just watched a compilation on Youtube and was surprised that every goalie did what Peters didn't do. He's got some good fakes, but every one was what he tried last night. Hope he has more in his arsenal.
