Manitoba Scoring Leaders

Just checking the scoring leaders in the "Dub" to see how Flame prospects are doing (Bartschi, Ferland, Reinhart) when I noticed that there are alot of Manitobans in the scoring leaders.

Mark Stone, Brendan Shinnimin, Michael St.Croix, Adam Hughesman, and Michael Ferland are all born in winnipeg (Ferland was born in Brandon). Currently these players make up the top 2 scorers in the WHL, 4 of the top 6, and 5 of the top 10 scorers.

Pretty impressive when BC/AB/Euro's usually dominates.

True enough. 5 of top 10 scorers from Manitoba. Most undrafted or later round draft picks. Nice work by these guys to earn some attention with their scoring ability. Ferland is the guaranteed NHL in my opinion as he plays a gritty two way game and could fit in anywhere in the line up. Stone has a great package of size and skill which could make him a huge threat in Ottawa one day. We'll see soon enough if his skating will be an issue or not.
