I dont think he would carry much trade value but we really have no reason to trade him. He just resigned for 2 more years about a month ago and he has been playing great.

Can handle his own with any heavyweight, homegrown 5th round prospect signed for league minimum for two years, and can actually play hockey and generate scoring chances from a rough forecheck. Ideal 4th liner, basically.

Whenever you have an ideal role player with no reason to move him, the only way for another team to get that guy is an offer that can't be refused.

At best Reaves is worth a 3rd. With that being said there is not reason to trade him. He can fight and also play. He hits anything that moves.

Eh he has very little trade value. I wouldn't trade the guy personally. He's one of my favorites.

B.J. Crombeen may appeal to you

Like said before, he signed an extension, he is a great fit, no point in trading him.

At least Ladd and a 1st. I don't think he is worth much at all. Are the Jets going to get a bigger arena sometime?

Reaves is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. He is the perfect 4th line player.

His legit value is probably around a fourth, maybe a third. Since we have zero reason to trade him and he does a good job for us id say if you offered a second round pick we would ship him off. Just my opinion though, its hard gauging the value of a fourth liner you don't want to sell.

It performances like last night that make me wonder what Reaves could do playing regularly as a top 9 forward. His history says he has never been a scorer but the guy has some skill, speed a hockey awareness. He's turned 25 years old in January.

I felt as if he trained to be a scorer his whole life and played a top 9 spot he would be a Backes type of player.

I can't believe i would type this, but even as solid as Jonny Oduya is, i don't think i would pull the trigger on that trade.
Reaves is just so solid. I absolutely love him with St. Louis. He's willing to stand up for teammates, he can deliver bone-crushing hits, and more importantly, he can score. A rare combination for a 4th line guy who for the most part is just supposed to hit a few guys, and fight when the time arrives.
I think Reaves has more than proved himself this season. I just love his personality too. He's always willing to fight, but for the most part, seems to respect everyone. He's a great guy, and i'm glad we've got him.
Not going to lie though, i really hope your team can make the playoffs and go the distance. I really like Winnipeg.

I see no reason to move him. He is turning into a Basil McRae type of tough guy with decent hands and hockey sense. Maybe check with us in a few years, if Cody Beach ends up being the same type of player. If Janssen could fetch a high pick, then I see no reason that Reaves should only be moved for a drastic overpayment. He could develop into being a 5-10 goal guy as a tough guy in a year or two with the talent we have at center. I always liked the McRae-Churla combo of toughness and hockey sense, where Shane was also a good penalty killer. Perhaps if Beach does develop and salaries force movement, Reaves gets looked in the top 9 as a poor man's Clarkson or Secord type and stand him in front of the net.
