I watched the PIT/FLA game. Everyone's talking about how Sid is returning and Letang is skating (with an imminent return) but the thing is, Malkin got no points (again). They're finding ways to win when he and his line aren't a factor. Fleury was his usual solid self. But Pittsburgh was getting outplayed, had a lot of turnovers tonight, didn't really look sharp at all. Not to take anything away from Florida, they came to play. They owned the Pens in the first period, had twice as many SOG. I don't know, I think the worrying factor with the Pens is the scoring ability of their third and fourth lines. We all know about Malkin and Staal and Neal, it's Sullivan and Dupuis and freaking grinders that seem to score with some regularity.

If Crosby does comeback on Thurs, that will be the crux of the season. Probably the most important game until the playoffs start.

Bruins get away with blatant interference. Jack Edwards says "Good non-call. Something we haven't seen much of this year!"

Ryan Smyth scores Oilers 1-0 over Avs by crashing the net....i cant believe some fans didnt want this guy ...if he would have waived his trade clause id take him..power forwards are hard to come by especially ones with leadership and the ability to score big goals..

Before today's Bruins loss, has a team we wanted to lose, lost all week? Seems like the Rangers are the only team that's losing. I'm so sick of the Pens winning in the shootout. That team is really good, but they shouldn't be close to us in the standings. They're creeping up on the Devils in skills competition wins.

NHL execs from three different teams told me #CBJ are expected to trade their 1st round pick (likely 1st overall) at upcoming draft #yakupov

Wouldn't have expected that.

this is what Sather should be after not rick nash it would be nice if the Rangers would have an 18 year old franchise player and still a playoff team

Unless they get another top 5 pick, why the **** would they do that. I've been defending Howson for a long time, but that would get me off his bandwagon and I'd be done defending him.

I understand the Blue Jackets may have their reservations in drafting European and more specifically Russian talent, but Yakupov has been in North America, so there's not much of a risk factor there.

I, I hope it doesn't happen for the BJ's sake.

The package we would have offered for Nash is what I would offer for Yakupov.

But why on earth would the CBJ trade the 1st pick? Howson can't be that dumb, can he?

I'm going to go with "yes" on that one.

Doesn't make sense to me on a few different levels, but perhaps Howson feels they can get a handsome price for that pick in order to trade down a few spots.

Maybe they finally figured out they suck at drafting/developing players.
