Let's face it, Howson doesn't have time for a full rebuild, he doesn't have that long as GM. If he can move that #1 for some solid roster players, and then do the same with Nash, it's probably the only shot he has at keeping his job in Columbus. If he somehow manages to get the team in to the playoffs next season, he might still have a job.

Realistically though, he's probably just going to make things worse if that's his plan.

I want. Very, very much.

What would be a realistic offer for the 1st overall pick?

Going by what he wanted for Nash - Our first, Lundqvist, Staal, Stepan, and Kreider.

Don't forget to throw in Erixon, Sauer, and Cally too.

That makes no sense. That team isn't ready to compete, and Yakupov could step in next season and make an impact. 3 months ago Howson informed Nash he was going to rebuild, and now he's trading away the chance to pick up a future franchise player. That franchise is rudderless.

Columbus might be a afraid of Yakupov forcing a trade, I guess.

I'd offer what we offered for Nash plus another first. If that's not enough, I'm not giving up any more.

On the trade board, I posted that the Rangers should offer the package we were gonna trade for Nash and use it for Yakupov if they're dealing the 1st overall pick. They claim it wouldn't be enough

I know this is well known, but jeez, if there was a comparison between which two arenas are more populated(Mausoleum and the pebble), I'm putting my money on the local library.

Giroux leaves Gustavsson vibrating like a jellyfish after his incredible move on game winning SO goal.

The Leafs are playing better now that grumpy old useless Wilson is gone, but they still suck.

But how is it relevant? Until they start giving out banners for attendance it's not anyone's concern...

Yet another dog piss effort for the devils at the dump. Extremely lucky to get two out of that game. They'll get blown out of the building tomorrow if they bring that same effort vs Philly.
