This is really cool news actually. I was in favour of trading him earlier this year, but he has been great lately, looked really strong, and this shows his dedication to the team and the city. I like it a lot. Thanks Ales.
What's Hemsky's ppg been the last 20 games or so? Anyone know? I'm pretty sure he's picked it up.
I wouldn't be surprised if that played a role in this. He's looked more engaged lately. Maybe he's heathier. maybe he was showing he wants to stay... maybe both. Any which way, no doubt people took notice, myself included.
Guess I was wrong about him willing to accept a short deal.
Still my favorite Oiler. Hopefully he holds up well this next couple of years.
