Well, this was the anual, signature, "depth move".

I firmly believe that any quality defenseman out there was available, but the price would have been all of our young, promising players (Henrique, Larsson, etc) leaving us with the "core" that everyone wants to leave intact. The core that can't seem to win the biggest games.

I can only guess that no G.M. was interested in our "Top 6", which is understandable because they are either older, becoming UFAs or here for 13 more years.

I'll live with it.

This is now the big test for Parise. It's finaly come to this after I have been calling it the last 2+ years. Let's see how badly he wants to Captain the NJD and stay with them long term. STARTING TONIGHT, being down 0-2.
