I believe Lou said exactly that also about Lemaire

Barr had a say as well Lou said, because he coached Zids in Minny, so to have Jacques opinion and then another both in good light about a player and then to have the player that defines Devils (Patty) as a friend of his.......kinda speaks for itself

Ponikarovsky was mediocre too this year with Carolina, and he's almost matched his point total here in less than half the game so far. I wouldn't go on what Zidlicky did this year in Minnesota. New team, new start. It worked for Poni, and hopefully it is for Marek too.

Both players thrive in DeBoer's system. THEY SHALL SUCCEED HERE!!!

I'll admit that he's looked and played a lot better the past two games than he did previously with us and in Minnesota this season.

He needs to do it over longer period of time before I'm satisfied, but he's definitely proving us doubters wrong the past few games.

Minny is probably happy just to get him off their... him and his cap space.

NJ doesn't mind the cap hit too much, and he's fitting in . It's OK to be a win /win, i said it early on.

Now, I was patient with Zidlicky and was expecting results like this. Not much more, though.

However, don't forget he is going to screw up. That happens when you pinch... take the good w/ the bad. He's not a world-class player like Nieds that can make up for a bad pinch.

However, he is a good skater, quick enough... he should be able to minimize it.

Again, we're a better team now than we were before this trade. But a decent amount.

Foster's back is also ****ed up as in damaged goods lol

http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/142023523.html

There's a line about Foster having a "wonky back" lol. Sheds some light about the picks included

We won't know the final outcome of the trade before Minnesota makes that pick, and before Palmieri develops fully and turns into something. Could turn into a very good return for them, regardless of the crap we piled into the package.

And if Zid keeps this up, it's good for us too. Win-win, like Billy says.

I can't believe he put two good games together, now we can't complain about him. Just another good thing Zidlicky has screwed up.

I feel like every time he had to last night, Zids was able to easily clear the zone from danger with little ease. Very refreshing to see.

Zids looks a lot more comfortable now. Each game he's been improving and our powerplay movement is loads better. I'll take it.

Elias, Kovy & Zid look great on the PP together. There's some magic to be made there, I think.

Yep. Now that we can move the puck capably at the point, it opens up a lot more chances down low. Good puck movement is key to a good PP.

I especially like the way Zids was able to look off that power play pass and blindly put it right in Kovy's wheelhouse.

Definitely some chemistry brewing there.

I'm much more impressed with his pass to Clarkson.

That pass to Clarkson was so beautiful. I think it even caught Clarkson a little off guard.

So perfect.

I'll tell ya, if our PP can be as potent as its looking recently... We're going to be a hard team to knock out in the playoffs.

I just hope we end up drawing anybody but the Bruins in round 1.

Gimme the Bruins in the first round - not later. They're weak right now and without Rask to come in should Timmy blow a tire early in a game they could be prime for an upset.

That requires dropping to the 7th seed...

they are only 3 pts ahead of Ottawa - why does everyone think all the teams in 1st are locks for the divisions?

Well, if one puts stock in the calculations performed on sportsclubstats, the Broons are our second most likely first round opponent at 25.9% second only to FLA at 27%.

Given the choice, I'd have to take Florida just for the poetic justice and knowing the team would rally hard for Pete to win that series.

Well...that would then move the Bruins into...seventh...how exactly are you seeing us playing them in the first round cause I think I just confused myself...
