Spector is credible. But please, god, don't let this be true.

Yeah, if McDonagh was somehow part of the deal you would have to assume that Erixon would then be out.

Mark Spector trolled everyone the other day with the "high alert" out of Columbus that ended being a season ticketholder event. He must love ****ing with Rangers fans.

I still don't see how they are close to comparable. Same age. Gardiner is on a 28 point pace on a better offense. Del zotto is on a 45 point pace (on one of the worst PPs in the league) while being 4th in the league in +/-.

Would Nash even fit without moving duby?

If they waived Wolski, he would fit for this season.

Then things would become more complicated.

It would be tight, but if you subtract WW and add the ~3M in additional cap space we already have it I believe it could be done with another minor move.

I love MDZ and would kick a dog or something if he were traded but how much of the PP being bad is on him?

I can see Erixon, but why MDZ or McDonagh? 2 of our best defensemen? I'll sick to my stomach. Please don't like this be true.

Wolski has not been waived on last eligible day to play, which means any Nash deal will 99% include Dubinsky for cap reasons.

Thanks guys.

Still doesnt make sense to me. CBJ just moved carter for a D and they wont bring back a forward for Nash?

Dont believe that report, for cap reasons more than anything

Also wouldnt completely flip if it was MDZ, a 1st, and a prospect. Would be pissed if it was McDonagh.

If a deal like that does go through, I hope Slats has a deal for 2 defensemen in place

Unless Sather has a deal in place for him. I don't think his value is as low around the league as it is here.

There's another deal in place to bring in either a PMD, or a top-six forward should Nash fall through tomorrow. I don't doubt that one bit.

Talk about a marriage gone wrong. Sather doesn't put Avery on re-entry.

From my POV the PP failures are due to coaching and lack of a shooting threat. But that is OT. Just don't see how MDZ and Gardiner are anywhere near comparable right now.

On topic, I think this is Howson trying to get Burke to up his offer. MDZ and McD are huge pieces behind why this team is first in the East IMO. There is no chance.

here's how it works.

top pairing defender > 65-70pt LW

top pairing defender at 23 >>>>> 70pt LW

Mcdonagh in the deal? lol no.

--------------------------------------

22 year old defenseman that has had two stellar seasons as an offensive player on the blueline > 70 pts LW

Del Zotto in the deal? lol no.

----------------------------------------

The only way adding Del Zotto to the deal makes any sense at all, is if the NYR have 100% faith in Erixon becoming not only the offensive player that MDZ is, but also the PPQB he was in Sweden. Otherwise MDZ plays a strong game at both ends of the ice, and Erixon being a solid PMD doesn't equal (in my mind) Del Zotto's 360degree game.

McDonagh is out of the question. Let CBJ fans get Gardiner instead, I mean he's just as good

Erixon was never the PPQB in Sweden. Rundblad QB'd the PP and Erixon was the heavy off-point shot.

McDonagh should be 100% out of the deal.
