Eager > Omark as a 4th liner.

I'm not saying Omark got the full chance he deserved here but the injury screwed up the season and I can't see him in a 4th line role. If he was a bit better defensively...then again Hordi is no picnic either

Yeah and you never know what will happen that day. Could be a few things or nothing.

I mean Tambellini also said he expected the Oil to be very quiet in the openings days of free agency. Then he made 3 signings and trade a few hours after free agency opened.

I agree.

If they do trade Peckham it better be to Florida. He's going to come back and bite us in the ass like Green does. I really hope they keep him. If Hemsky can have an off year why can't Peckham. I love the guys physicality to much to let him go just yet. Unless of course it's in a package for a big fish.

You know how some Oiler fans go on Calgary puck and troll them? Think Rotten Oil.

Just put on the ignore list.

I agree with tambo on this one, give our D prospects in the minors time to ripen no need to blow our cap space that we shall need soon enough for the big 3 and Gagner. lets take a page out of the wings playbook on this one, Oiler fans have suffered too long to deviate from the plan now.

I'm tired of being in the basement and being the joke of the league.

I'm supposed to accept mediocrity I suppose.

Strange, I haven't seen you post a single positive thing Oilers related. Everything is terrible, doom and gloom.

Well, that's pretty much the case. We got the kids looking good, but we're still 29th.

I've loved this team since I could first start watching and playing, but this is painful. I have to hear all the memories of Stanley Cups passed while I watch one of the worst teams in the league, barring a couple bright spots in rookies that might give me a chance to enjoy a cup. I think I have more than a little right to be frustrated.

Look, I'm not sitting here just looking for ways to be negative. I'm just so ****ing upset and frustrated. I love this city and love this team, and I take it to heart when people go out of their way to insult either. I know we have a bright future, but listening to people chirp just... well, it makes me look forward to our bright future panning out.

Okay,

I understand we just signed Hemsky and we look to try and be competitive for next year, but I, for one, am bummed that hes not going to anything on deadline day. This is one of the few days oiler fans can enjoy with the rest of the NHL, and now we are done??? Does he forget we are still 29th in the NHL and our defence still needs significant upgrades?

I was looking forward to this deadline but it appears I shouldn't be because we aren't gonna be participating....

Or am i reading too far into this?
its about time! this sends a pretty good message to the boys in the room! here's to hoping the salary cap goes up!

Exactly. July 1 should be much better than deadline day.

What do we do though?

There aren't very many D on the market right now. Waiting until July 1st and seeing what we can snatch is a better option.

, what? How are you in a position to criticize Tambellini, you're only here because Omark is part of the organization.

Had only Tambellini had some kind of will to act Omark and me could have been gone Jimmi. Ohhh the joy?

Never to return again, i would roam the boards of maybe los angeles or pheonix. Hooking up with american freinds who would not look down at me for being from sweden. People who would actually like Omark not only as a player but the youtube sensation that he is.
Noone cares if he is a giveaway machine in pheonix because he is flashy ahhh am dreaming away....

No seriously i was just pointing out the weird in that post, if anything Tambi should yell at the entire freaking squad and threat to fire everyone SECOND TO LAST.

Im not saying he should do any big splashes or force any trade or even do one single trade. All i am saying is that his attitude should not be "Lets be damn happy with what we have" because we are second to last. Thats the reality, the product we are putting on ice is second to lasst. There is no magic wand that will turn us into a contender next year.

If there is no good trade there is no good trade. But if am Tambi, im keeping my eyes damn open for ANYTHING that can help this team. Because we are second to last.

I agree with you, I'm hoping he is keeping his eyes peeled for a good deal. But I don't see anything happening until draft day or July 1st, where the deals will probably be sweeter.

I think you lack the subtly for irony. Either way. Look, truth be told, there's no reason to mortgage anything right now, when there's more "wiggle room", so to speak, to make moves in the summer.

Also, I feel really bad for Omark, playing lights out in the minors, and would have got a deserved call up, but that broke ankle on that stupid dirty play.

I agree with you offcorse it makes more sense to wait untill summer. It wasnt that what i reaacted against. First it was that someone would say "well done tambi and well done the team they deserve this safe haven of not getting dealt". Really? We are second to last noone should pad themself on the back and get comfty.

Even if Tambi knows he isnt going to make a damn move, his attitude should still not be lets stay put. His answer in this possition should in my opinion always be "we are at the moment second to last, if i can find a trade that is going to make us improve on that i am doing that. Hockey is not about loosing".

Its an attitude issue, we are loosers we dont sit back with a smug smile on our face and are happy. We make the changes needed, you may think am only here for Omark. But am watching the games without Omark and i read almost every thread active on here.

Im not posting in most because frankly i know swedish hockey, not canadian. I talk about things i know. I know attitude and edmontons shows piss for it.

I hope you don't think Omark needs to improve his attitude, if anything it's great. He's got utter confidence in himself and loves proving people wrong. You can't teach that.
