We haven't lost in regulation in a month. that's kind of a big deal.
And I don't want them to stop!
Do they visit the local radio this often? I only noticed this because of twitter. I usually don't watch NHL Live, but heard Doan was going to be on so made sure I was going to pay attention to it.
Couple times a week either Doan, Nash, or DM will be on 1060. I'm not sure how often they are on 910 but I do hear Roenick on there sometimes and they usually talk a little Coyotes.
I'd listen more often but local sports radio is god awful here.
Drink every time at any Coyotes interview somebody asks somebody to elaborate about how impressive Ray Whitney is at his age or how great Mike Smith has been. It makes it so obvious that nobody pays attention to the team and they have nothing insightful to ask.

Well, I take that back. I just got done listening to EJ Hrade interview Doan and he said something that really stood out. EJ was actually aware enough of our team to ask about OEL and had Doan talk about him. He said something roughly like:
"EJ, now I'm not trying to be facetious, but I honestly believe he could be the best defenseman in the league within the next year or so...for the next 15 years you will be talking about him as one of the premiere defenseman in the league."
I also kinda got the impression he was implying OEL will grow to be better than Yandle.

It's so true though. OEL, at his age, is an extreme asset to our team right now. He will only get better.
His 3v1 last night was brought up by Doan. It was a simple great defensive play.
I can't wait for Schlemko and Klesla to come back, we have such a good defensive core.
And I have never had any problems with EJ and company. They really know what they are talking about on that show. It's just a nation wide problem, as in Coyotes are on the bottom of the list of a whole league of teams that people care about.

Sounds like I am not the only one who thinks that as well. As good as Yandle is, OEL is much more defensively responsible. The five year age gap between Yandle and OEL is the only major difference, as OEL is putting up equal or better numbers than Yandle in his 2nd season

I brought up the ELO 3v1 on the Coyotes thread in NHL talk as a response to all the Coyotes are boring comments. Coyote fans watch that play and it's exciting. A Canuck fan watches the same play and complains how boring the Coyotes are
I guess it would be boring watching your favorite players getting shut down by the Hanzal line all game long.
As for the nationwide recognition or lack thereof, it was in prime display last night when they showed the top 5 goal scorers on NHL Live...The list included Stamkos, Malkin, and Kessel, and 2 of the 4 thirty goal scorers....can you guess which ones?
Speaking of media coverage, no coverage on FSAZ tomorrow and Tuesday. No coverage for the final game of the season against the Wild which could decide how we are seeded if it stays as tight as it is now.

Not being on tuesday is a shame. Your already on the road and while i root for arizona, I dont want an old game on over the coyotes.
