I bet Roli doesn't get the start tomorrow.

Oh, without a doubt I'll still be behind them. Yzerman will have a lot of money and no excuses this off season. He'd better do something spectacular

Single positive of the game was that Connolly played his best game in some time. 15 minutes of ice time today and 13 minutes in the last one.

Biggest negative:

Will check on Hedman after the game. Hasn't played in third period for Lightning.

SY, we need a new goalie, like yesterday.

At this point Boucher needs to let him play. We're not going anywhere...let him make his mistakes and try to gain some confidence. There's no reason for him to be playing 5 or 6 minutes a game now that the team is essentially out of it.

Wow, just wow. Was this their worst game of the year? Score aside, the entire team just looked lost. It's inexplicable how they can fight for their lives against teams like the Sharks and just absolutely lose their minds against the Pens, game after game.

Well when you gut the team and play a 63 year old goalie this is what happens. It's a joke Roloson is still on the team. I just want this team to remain competitive but they might as well just pack it in. What a way to get the fanbase excited again.

Senators have interest in Roloson? After this game I don't think so...

Easy enough to blame Roli, and he deserves his fair share of it for sure. But come on, forwards weren't backchecking. The D just kind of stood around and let Malkin waltz down the middle of the ice on multiple occasions. They looked broken today. Not that they didn't try hard at some points, but everything they touched turned to crap and you could tell by watching them that they expected it to turn out that way.

Third period was bad but they weren't bad in the first two periods. Pens got some breaks and buried them while Fleury stopped just about everything.

I hate nothing more than Malkin scoring goals against us.

See above post. They came out ready to fight for their lives, but after the first couple of goals all the air just went out of them. They tried, but they looked like they knew they were beaten. Trying to hard not to make mistakes instead of just playing their game. Just led to a whole bunch of different mistakes.

And yes, somebody needs to find the damn voodoo doll and burn it.

I really hate Malkin. He has 8+3 in last three games against us

Was there a reason Garon didn't get the start today?

I would much rather have lost 4-1 and not had Malkin get a hat trick - than to have... you know.

I would guess because of tomorrow's game. Boucher doesn't like to start him in back to backs.

So he essentially rolled the dice today, instead of putting our best team on the ice. Makes sense. We could have won this game perhaps if Garon was in net, but I guess Boucher didn't think so.

Back to back road games. Garon will play tomorrow against the Devils. Roloson had a couple of nice saves against the Jets. If I was Boucher I would have put him in net today as well.
