The Caps got hosed on a similar play a couple games ago. Pay back.

If only the Caps could play Canadian teams every game. Counting tonight, 11-5-1 against them this year.

I wish the Caps would run the other teams best d-men like others teams do with Green every game. To much to ask though

I wanted a Dman keyed on and worked in the playoffs past, to offset Green getting hounded if not common sense. One regular season game, its helps, but over a long series, pounding that high scoring offside young injury or turnover prone dman early and often is good for a few scoring chances.
edit if not an entire series.

Keep both goalies.
Both have great contracts, if we make the playoffs there's no negative to having both of them.

I'd like to thank your team for demolishing the Leafs tonight. Many of us over on the Leaf board are in full blown tank mode now, so keep the goals coming.

Isn't that sort of what they did to Staal and Girardi? That may have been mostly about them getting too many minutes, but the Caps wore them down.

Last time we won 2 in a row: January 13-15.
Last time we won 2 in a row when one was a road game: Dec 31 and Jan 3.
Last time we won both ends of a back to back: Dec 30 and Dec 31.

Should've seen this board after the Ottowa game. Ugly.

So you guys were in your "anger" stage? We're well beyond that, into the acceptance phase.

We came out hitting for sure, but Torts also used them a ton. I don't remember them getting hit repeatedly, to be honest.
The play of that series was Arnott intercepting that pressured clear up the boards, whipping the puck over to Semin.
Green doesnt seem to defend himself very well, while maybe they do.

I'd say it was the bargaining phase. Most were contemplating which players we shouldn't sell in order to make this team better next season.

It's games like this from Ovechkin that make people wonder why the heck he acts like doesn't have a completely hockey skillset sometimes, I guess.
He's been outstanding no matter where he's been on the ice.
