Why so angry with Carkner going in over Lee here? Carkner is perfect for tonights role. Lee will be back in tomorrow. Who will be perfect fit for that game. Kudos to Maclean. Thankfully hes coach and not some of you wingnut fanboys/girls around here. Geesh.
GO SENS!
Yes, Carkner is perfect for this game, looking forward to his shifts against the Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin line. I see him really thriving in that situation.
Man Boston is good, but hell they lost to Buffalo last night, it's not like they're unbeatable. We had them by the balls last game, we just had a few bad bounces against us. They're on a long road trip, so now we should take advantage.
I think they're the only team in the East that we haven't beat. It's our time!!
i wont even be mad.
even with a healthy andy, this game will be hard to win.
hopefully we can.... its not impossible either. but a point would be good.
IMO, the winner of tonight's game will be the team who has Karlsson.
If he has a solid game, I think we'll win. Unless Carkner becomes a liability every shift he's on. I remember a game a couple weeks ago where he had 10 mins of ice-time and was a -2, LOL.
So we have a coach who is a Jack Adams candidate and has had the pulse of the team on his finger tips all year, yet there is a whine fest when he takes out a marginal
player out of the line up. I'm sure the team will survive. Go sens!

OMG I can come up with games that karlsson has been minus 4. LOL!!!!LOL!!!LOL!!!! SO AWESOME!!!
It would be pretty amazing if we won tonight. I'm feeling optimistic, though I honestly have no idea why.
Karlsson, Spezza, Michalek, Alfie, and even Turris all need to step up and lead the way and kick it into playoff-gear tonight if we want to compete. Spezza seemed to be struggling a little bit last game, and he seemed to be reverting to some of his 'cute' plays (ie. the dangles at the blue-line, holding onto the puck too long, questionable passes). Hopefully that's just because we were playing the Caps and were up 4-0.
I wouldn't care if we were playing the broadstreet bullies from the 70's, changing up a winning lineup(not to mention replacing one of our most consistent d-man with our worst one this season) doesn't seem like a smart move on P Mac's part.
It's a privilege to read the words of this venerable hockey mind.
Let's just count ourselves lucky we didn't trade JOB. He's almost a definitive first line center next year.
Oh, and Lee > Carkner. Mind you, I don't hold this decision against Paulrus too much. We need some agitation against the Bruins and that's what Carkner can do. I'm hoping tonight Carkner is used as he was used when he first came into the league: agitator and fighter. I don't think allowing him too log 18+ minutes as a "stay at home D-man" is suiting him... at all. Play him minimal minutes and make sure he stirs **** up.
Dissapointing... A young player is building confidence, playing well, team is winning with him in the lineup... Lets scratch him!! That will do wonders for him... Lee is our most physical dman so lets scratch him for a pylon who cant skate or pass...
Solid strategy
While I dont dissagree with what everyone is saying here, I understand the move. The bruins are a big tough team and they dont want to get bullied around on home ice.
Lee is playing great and everything but he isnt the x factor that determines a win or a loss.
As long as Carkner comes in and does his job, but dont take stupid penalties, make your checks good and without penalties and well be ok, we start taking penalties and were cooked.... Its always been the penalties and turnovers that has been doing us in..... and we take penalties,....and bruins will take advantage of that and it will be a hard road to climb back up....so be smart, be skating for your team, and GO SENS GO.... WE CAN DO THIS..... come on guys be OPTIMISTIC FOR THE TEAM.... stay positive..... stop whining and do the best you can with what you have and that is all the fans can expect from you, but dont lay back and die....FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT TO WIN... and if you happen to lose, then you can at least say YOUVE GIVEN IT ALL YOUR BEST GO SENS GO
