You'll like him. He's not all that skilled, but pretty good defensively; good at screening goalies, and hella tough. He broke his nose twice last season playing for us, including the gruesome nostril through the photographers hole.

Seriously though, he's a pretty tough guy who makes a decent 4th liner. As a Leafs and (primarily) Jackets fan, I'm alright with this.

Nice, Good pick up for CBJ, Boyce doesn't have top 6 talent, but he is very versatile, defensively responsible, hard working 4th liner who can fill in the 3rd liner role very well if needed.

I would much prefer Lombardi, Armstrong, and Crabb on the waivers before I let go off Boyce. U guys won't be dissapointed with Boyce, will play his heart out and this move allows Phalsson to be expendable.

Love Boyce. So will you guys. He will fight, he hits, he works hard. He'll block shots with reckless abandon. If we didnt have warm bodies making 3+ million ahead of him, Boyce probably would never have been waived.

Hes a good PK'er too. Our AHL club's coach loved him on the PK.

Boyce seems like a more versatile Boll - he can fight, but also play on the PK and play center.

could be. I see it more to address a Pahlson trade. Way too early to interpret much (but here goes) but if the idea is to pick up intangibles of the kind Carter lacked, Boll fits.

The fact that there are as many Leaf posters on this thread as BJ posters should show you guys something. Boyce is never going to score 20 goals for you, but this is a great pick up for Columbus. Boyce is a warrior. Sad to see him go.

Couldnt this make Pahlsson expendable? Pahlsson somewhere for a 3rd rounder??

Boyce could play 3rd or 4th line. So its a possibility.
