This is a good team for Zuccarello to make his season debut against. Should be an up-tempo game and the Islanders aren't overly big.
Hopefully he can help the PP....oh wait...he's probably going to have 4 minutes of ice-time with Scott and Rupp, because Tortorella is a thick headed ****.

Thick headed division leader?
Up tempo?

lol this is exactly how i feel about the situation. if he DOES get a shot on the PP, though, he'll help. definitely.

season debut? last time he played was against the islanders in october..
guess this is just a move because callys out. seen him play a few times with the whale this year. to be honest, was not too impressed. we'll see
You know what would be interesting to see as a third line once Cally is back?
Hagelin-Mitchell-Zuccarello.
I'm not sure if the three of them played together in CT, but I know Hagelin and Mitchell had good chemistry together down there and I've heard Hagelin and Zuccarello have had good chemistry together as well.
Scott needs to sit. He can't skate, doesn't bring anything except size, and most players back down and won't fight him. Rupp, Prust, etc. is enough when it comes to fighting.
Welcome back ZUKES! Hopefully he gets more than :30 seconds of ice time.
It really is, if he still doesn't look NHL ready with this call-up, I have to believe he goes back to Europe or is traded in the offseason.
Good luck, Zuccs.
I don`t think his resign with The rangers now mather what, unless he get a one way contract (or at least 120k to 250k in AHL salary) or a promise to be traded during the summer
With Kreider comming in,there is no chance he made the team next year.
But play oyur as# off Zucca,if you get hhe chance tonight. Showcase yourselfe for those western confernce teams.

Player(s) to watch: last night the Whale first-line combined for seven shots and three goals. They (Hagelin-Mitchell-Zuccarello) will be the line to watch tonight.

Seriously though, im glad to see him back. He has paid his dues in the AHL and played well. I think it was the right thing for the Rangers to call him up. Hopefully he can do better this time around. I think this will be his last chance with the Rangers!
Oh this is definitely his last chance. If he doesn't perform, it's over.
For all those who clearly have decided that he can not handle the NHL level what so ever.
Do you guys even remember when he was called up last year? The guy was mesmerizing to watch, he won our player of the game rating nearly every game, and with better scorers to take care of his wonderful feeds he would have been racking up a ton more points than his already impressive numbers.. However, he did get tired and was not such a presence towards the end of his stint. But he was far from alone on a team that was in a serious slump.
All I ask is that he gets a legit shot so that we may truly assess whether he may contribute the way some of us thinks and hopes he can, myself included.
I remember watching this tiny guy completely dominating in the Olympics against Canadas best defensive pairings (on NHL-sized ice) and I want that Zucc to do the same for my Rangers.

Strangely he seemed to be very high on that ranking even for games he didn't play well at all. Have a look at who voted for him. Yeah, mostly my countrymen.
Glad to see him get a shot, but I don't think he's the soultion to our PP troubles.
