Moulson / JT / Nino

Okposo / Frans / Parenteau

Grabner / Bailey / Martin

Haley or Pandolfo / Cizikas / Ullstrom

1st PK: Pandolfo/Cizikas
2nd PK: Frans/Grabner

We have to get over the issue that if you move Parenteau to 2nd line that it is a demotion, it is to spread out the scoring. We really need to see how effective Nino is in a Top-6 role. With potentially Strome, Petrov, Lee and Nelson coming soon we need to see what Nino has NOW.

Grabner might be more effective playing with Martin giving him some protection. Bailey and Frans can switch during a game for the odd shift after Frans kills a penalty.

If I were coaching, and PAP were still here, I would try

Moulson-JT-PAP
Martin-Bailey-Okposo
Graber-Nielsen-Nino
Waiver pickup-Reasoner-Pandolfo

I would like to try Bailey with Okposo. I think that line could out-muscle a lot of teams along the boards and has some skill.

Nino with Nielsen could be a good fit. He would provide a needed physical presence on that line, and Nielsen can get him the puck in position to score.

The fourth line is garbage, but I would rather see Cizikas and Ullstrom play top-line minutes/pp/pk in the AHL than 7 minutes a game with the Isles.

I'm usually not a fan of giving someone top 6 minutes if they haven't earned it, but I gotta say, I kinda like the idea of Nino up there with JT for a bit. Kid has skill and JT routinely brings the best out of people, would be interesting to test drive as the season winds down, maybe jump start Nino's confidence heading into the offseason.

Personally, I would love to see a line of Nino-Cizikas-Martin. Martin and Nino are the teams hit leaders and Cizikas is probably the most physical center on the team. They could be potentially a very good checking line.

Moulson-Tavares-Parenteau
Grabner-Bailey-Okposo
Nino-Cizikas-Martin
Pandolfo-Nielsen-Ullstrom

I hate bringing up all the young guys into this mess, especially if they're not getting ample playing time, but the lines are looking less horrible now that some of the bums are being ousted.
