With Steen, Dags and Langenbrunner out Armstrong might deal a pick or mid prospect for a depth forward.

OK trade made. We're done!!!

Might be another pick that could be used to acquire somebody.

he should if the trade would improve the team. we are good enough that we don`t need to make any desperate moves but the right player (LHD, goal-scorer, depth-forward) for the right price is available, why not?

the cool thing with Army is that you can trust him as a fan. there were a few decisions and moves he made the fans don`t understood at the beginning but turned out great for the Blues

so its a pretty easy question but pretty hard to answer on a yes or no poll

From @jprutherford:

Doug Armstrong on #stlblues at deadline: “I’ve tried to keep a realistic expectation that I think we have a good team right now and... (1/2)

...I think that I’m quite comfortable that if this group of players are all together tomorrow at 1:01 Mountain time, we’ll be happy.” (2/2)

Army: “I have a clear understanding of what I want to accomplish & if we can do that great & if we cant we’ll move forward w/ what we have”

(emphasis added)

So, Armstrong wants to make a trade, he plans on making a trade, but he will be content with what we have if a trade doesn't happen. I'm pretty much expecting Armstrong to make a move now, although I won't be disappointed if he doesn't do anything.

We have some obvious holes in our goal-scoring department. Instead of just hoping that Stewie and Bergs will get going I would love to solidify our team up front with an actual goal-scorer.

The Blues have to make a move IMO. We lack a defenseman AND a forward, although I'd be happy with just landing one of those.

However our budget and ownership issues will probably prevent us from doing that. Hope Army is able to pull his magic once again. If he can't, we'll still have a good team, but I gotta admit I don't see us going very far in the playoffs with the current group depending on who we play.

It would be awesome if we could get Brown, but i don't think we have (well, want to give up) the pieces it would take for that deal.
It would be nice if we could ship a prospect, and maybe the pick we just got for Bishop, and maybe another one and pick him up from the Kings. I think he would fit in nicely on the top line, and be a pretty ferocious player on a line with Backes and Oshie.

ya, but the thing is this is what every team wants. I'd be very happy to keep what we have, this isn't a year to put all the chips on the table this is a year to get playoff experience and hopefully in a couple years we'll be able to go all out for a cup.
