Sorry but you need to adjust your personality a little bit when dealing with the media, especially in Toronto and especially considering his performance has been next to awful. He cannot be so casual and have a cool as a cucumber attitude. It's just not how you handle the situation. Yes, everyone is different but he doesn't need to be smiling.
Sadly he won't be that guy. Honestly his personality doesn't fit the ego-tistic, self centered nature of the Leafs. He would flourish in a different city (and I don't mean a for sure starter, but a good solid backup).
I'm happy to see I'm not the only one flabbergasted by the Leafs' post-game reactions.
I posted these in another thread, and I'm too lazy and drunk to paraphrase, so...

Real talk though, how would you like to be a Leafs fan right now? Reimer is all smiles after a game in which he let in 5 goals on 23 shots. Keep smirking, kid. You're awesome. Not to mention the team's captain expressing himself about as well as 50 Tyson in the post-game interview. What a Neanderthal.
On Reimer:

I realize that, but you have to watch the interview if you haven't already. I can tell you right now, if any of the Sens acted so nonchalantly after such a poopoo game, I would absolutely lose it. I've heard nothing but good things about the kid's attitude, but optimism has its limits. You've got to prove yourself before you try to brush off a **** effort like that.
As a leafs fan the only good thing about this losing streak is that the fans including myself don't even really care anymore. The season is over for the leafs so its once again back to normal no pressure hockey in Toronto. The media will also soon follow the fans and start talking more and more jays.
You just CANNOT justify being that loose after such a brutal game. Has he not checked the standings? He could react that way if the team dropped one spot from 5th to 6th, but now in 10th and sliding fast and he is acting like everything is just fine? Does he not realize how bad this makes him look or does he not give a damn?
Agreed with the previous poster, if a Sens player ever responded this way, I and I think many others would be downright furious.

I disagree. What do you want Reimer to do, throw a tantrum? Be depressed? A big part of sports is being able to deal with failure, because even the best players in the world aren't even halfway to perfect. If you beat yourself up and get frustrated and depressed after every mistake and loss you're not going to last very long.
Most of those goals weren't even his fault. The Leafs' problem is that most of their defensemen are big, lumbering, boneheaded pylons. Schenn and Komisarek in particular are complete garbage. I have no idea why so many people think Schenn is so good when he's really not a great passer and not a very heady player.

No not depressed, but act more serious....there is a difference
Was he really laughing at the fact that the crowd was chanting FIRE WILSON. I had the impression that he thought it was a cool thing that the crowd chanted that and was laughing about it.
Thank you SJ! Great night all around. Now let's hope the Isles do us a favour against them on Thursday, ironically we should hope for an NJ win, than we beat Chicago and we take top spot in the NE. That's the ideal week of course.

Taking the division is a pipedream.
At this point, the goal should be get out of 7th/8th so we don't have to play the Rangers or the Bruins.

This, 6th may even be better then 2nd, unless Winnipeg wins the SE because that building will be absolutely ridiculous to play in especially in the playoffs
Well that is the goal, but if we continue to play consistent hockey there very well could be a chance of catching the Bruins. And if we were to get 6th, we would be facing one of WPG/FLA/WAS and the match up favours the Sens there, especially for the Jets and Panthers. Sens have also played the Rangers very tough this year so I'd be confident in that match up but it's not ideal. Pretty much anything other than Boston at this point.
That's why it's best for the devils to lose. Finishing 7th is as close as it can get to a guaranteed matchup with the bruins. Any points lost by the devils makes it more unlikely to finish 7th, even if it gives the Bruins more points in the division race
I think Schenn will still be great, just with another team.
Guys like him and Komisarek aren't suited for the style the Leafs play.
I agree.
I think the biggest issue is coaching. They are trying get to change the style of Reimer play, rather than playing to his strengths. They try to make Schenn offensive rather than letting him be that unnoticed hard hitting defenseman. It would be like MacLean trying to get Karlsson to block more shots, hit more and not allowing him to use his speed in a defensive way.
