It's perfect that they completely destroyed the Coyotes in the third but still got zero points, but how in bloody hell did they not score on ANY of the chances they had in the last five minutes? A good team would've scored about 6 in that stretch. It was obviously still a positive stretch of hockey because they're doing everything right, they're just not capable of putting the puck in the net.
This game was as per usual with Phoenix this year. Get down in the first couple of periods. Make a come back attempt in the 3rd but give up a goal shortly after scoring to kill any hope.
Seriously all three games have been the same.
So what happened to Horcoff? Didn't play a shift past around the half way mark of the third. Injured? or benched? I'm going to go with injured.
Does anyone know what happened at the end there with the puck over the glass? No penalty for Phoenix for the puck going straight out, yet the faceoff stayed in their zone. What?
Hate to say it but I'm pinning this L on Dubie. 2 questionable goals that were deflating and made the team play tentatively for a period or so. Came out flying in the second and battled hard in the third.
IMO they played quite well and deserved a better outcome but still a loss is a loss. Phoenix pisses me off, this was to be expected. Hope they get bounced early in the playoffs.
Frustrating game to watch. It got tiring constantly seeing Mike Smith playing the puck after we dumped it in. Phoenix played a hell of a game today, gotta give credit where credit is due.
Atleast RNH got a goal and is out of his funk. Also took some punishment and did not look out of place. Good to see. Hemmer and Hall also getting points was good to see.
If you can take one thing from this game it is that Hemsky does indeed have chemistry with some of the kids. The top line was flying in the 3rd period.
