NHL Trade Deadline 2012: All non-credible rumors/trade talk here v2.0

NHL TRADE DEADLINE MADNESS! FEBRUARY 27TH!

It's that time of year again, folks!

This thread - AND THIS THREAD ONLY - we are allowing all users to post non-credible rumors from Twitter accounts, Facebook accounts, the guy by the cooler, etc...

This is open until trade deadline day is over. Once the trade deadline is upon us, this thread will be shut down and no non-credible rumors will be discussed until next year. We are allowing this as a special privilege to you all. The Habs Mod staff hope you appreciate this and will continue not to abuse this as the year goes on.

So have at it! @HockeyyInsiderrr is claiming stuff? Post it here! @IHaveNoIdeaWhatIAmDoing says Nash to Montreal is a lock? Chat about it here! The CREDIBLE SOURCES THREAD is to discuss stuff by CERTIFIED CREDIBLE GUYS.

Enjoy!

I don't get how some people think PG having to go through Molson is a bad thing. Honestly, to late to fire him, so just make sure he comes to you about everything before the season ends. Everyone liked the Gill trade no? I'm sure by that time Molson was already doing this.

As I wrote in the other thread, lets keep the Marinaro rumour in it's proper place. Keep this thread for trade rumours and things of that nature.

Maybe Pierre Mcguire will be pulling double duty Monday, getting scoops from Mckenzie and Lebrun about possible trades, and reporting them to Molson.

Actually we should learn Monday how close Mcguire is to the team on how quickly he's able to report possible Montreal trades.

If we trade our first for Brassard I quit watching hockey.

We're in position for a top-3 pick, and we would trade that away for someone who has less than .5 ppg in his what, 3rd or 4th full nhl season?

**** off.

My own extremely non-credible speculation: I checked out AK's split stats this season, Toronto has seen him good. 4gp, 1g 2a (all at even strength), +3, 8 hits, 9 shots. I remember AK saying he maintained a good relationship with Grabovski, despite the Grabo/SK feud.

Maybe they like him, but they're not even sure if they're keeping Grabo so that point is somewhat mute.

The taught of it just turns my stomach i don't even...

Habs are not going to trade their 2012 first for Brassard. Some of you need to relax.

It's because apparently their asking price is our 1st round pick and it seems as if we're interested in Brassard.

WTF with Brassard seriously if we wanted him why didn't we make an offer when his value was horrible in the beginning of the year? Now he is playing well and suddenly we want to get him.

I hope the fact that he is a quebecer doesn't push the habs to overpay for him he is a 50 points player at best and i prefer Desharnais to him.

Who knows... maybe PG scouted Grigorenko personally!

Right, point taken (although I'm skeptical that the Leafs would trade their top center while they're making a playoff run?). I meant that the AK/Grabo relationship would not be a deterrent.

Your point is also taken.

I don't think it would happen because I don't see PG (or Molson, as it seems) trading players to our rivals in our own division. Otherwise I could see something happening.

Brassard looks like a pretty good reclamation project, but is he wortha 1st rounder?

Definitely not a top 10 pick.

I don't want to ***** about non-credible sources, but these twitter guys always include the Habs in any rumour involving a young french guy.

No way they'd give up a top 5 pick for someone like Brassard.

Who's that clever dog who put that nifty Nashville logo on Hal Gill's sweater?

OK, but that's where the interest ends. No way in hell the Habs would be dumb enough to make that trade and I don't think too highly of the goofball management staff.

Its sad that the fanbase has so little faith in our management that there is actually fear that we would trade a potential top 3 or 4 pick, maybe higher, for Brassard. Whats even more tragic is its not a 0 possibilty it might happen.
