“@icitdev: #panthers are asking for a roster player for Huberdeau”
The Habs are apparently asking Florida about Huberdeau, asking price is a roster player and probably plus. Would you do Eller + ?(not this years first, unless it falls out of top 3) for Huberdeau?

Well it depends what the plus is. As much as like Eller, i'd take huberdeau over him
If we could get Huberdeau without giving up our first, and we manage to grab Grigs, that would be two great top centers for us. But why would Florida trade him?

I'd trade Plek for Huberdeau. That would get it done wouldn't it?
Maybe if Florida thought they were a real contender this year and wanted something to immediately boost their team. But Huberdeau should be in their lineup by next year, so it would make no sense to trade him. He has a higher ceiling, if he pans out, and they will be getting a look at him soon enough.
I wouldn't trade our first. Nor would I trade for it if I am Florida. Might as well stick with your prospect.

Well yes, of course.
But I don't think Eller is a name that's gonna light up Tallon's face. And I don't see why Flo would trade Huberdeau altogether, unless receiving a premier asset in return.
To me, the whole Huberdeau conversation sounds hollow. Doesn't make any sense.
I like Huberdeau, but I think some of you are willing to pay too much for him, he's good but he'll be a 70 pts player at max if everything goes perfectly. I don't think he's worth overpaying.

French speaking 18 year old potential 70 pt center. Okay. Sounds good to me.

Read correctly I said at max if everything goes perfectly, I honestly think he'll average 50-55 pts, and to me that's not worth giving Pleks + Beaulieu or a first (since this first will be pretty good).

Even our 2012 1st. Let's say its Forsberg or Grigorenko. They all have the same potential as Huberdeau. At least he's a local kid and a year closer to being ready.

If you ask me I would trade it considering this year's draft for a young good player like Huberdeau, but I wouldn't add Pleks maybe somebody else.
