Actually VBK owns 48%, Chambers owns 48%, and some random guy owns 4%, I believe.

I do like the fact that we are about to get new ownership though. All this smoke is a good fire.
What if that random poster WAS Millard?

Good good, so practicing won't be too far away then, I would guess.
Great news!

I think it's good news. New ownership means somebody willing to pay the bills, which means more financial stability for a Parise contract.

No major Eastern Conference teams made a major move. Give me a healthy Zajac and Tallinder and let's go.

Any chance that when Zajac comes back and is fully healthy Elias moves to LW on the second line.
Parise-Henrique-Kovalchuk
Elias-Zajac-Sykora
Ponikarovsky-Zubrus-Clarkson
Carter-Josefson-Bernier

You need to stop being so paranoid the team isn't going anywhere

Doubt it Elias is a center now he likes playing the position and is effective there.

I wouldn't doubt it. He can still skate pretty well.
The top line isn't clicking as much. I wouldn't be surprised if the lines were changed but then again a 5 game cold streak happens.
Elias - Zubrus - Kovalchuk
Elias is the speedy passer. Zubrus occupies the front of the net. Kovalchuk gets to shoot all he wants.
Parise - Henrique - Clarkson
Parise's stuff play hasn't worked as often so let Clarky do the dirty work and let Parise set them up and take shots from around the net.
Ponikarovsky - Josefson - Sykora
Sykora can shoot. Josefson can set him up. Poni can provide a net front presence.
XXX - Carter - Bernier
Fourth line. When Zajac comes back switch him and Josefson so that we have Carter - Josefson - Bernier. Pretty good line.

I think Elias will stay at C for the remainder of this year at the least. Zajac won't displace him this year off of an injury that probably won't have him at 100% especially with the playoffs in 20 games, probably less than 10 when he actually gets back to play limited minutes.
But the ownership situation is looking more positive, if only because the news coming out is looking like another owner is knocking on the door.

I don't think its really the 50%, more likely the 48% from Chambers.
JVB would still have the controlling shares.

I mean they can split it however they want.. its just 48% non-controlling shares.
The shares themselves, as per the JVB-Chambers original deal, are controlling or non-controlling.
Its not like a 50% type of thing as far as I know.

the ONLY consistent line right now is the zubrus line. a coach cant not but love them. they do awesome work and occasionally score a goal. cant ask for more. i wouldnt remove bernier and slot in clarkson because hed completely **** up the flow. what with his horrible passing/non existent passing/hockey sense and falling down.
also...whatd i miss with this millard guy? what exactly did he say and what exactly is going on? are we saved? do we haz cheeseburgerererers?

What I really want is Henrique back to the third line where he can pick himself back up. I dunno if Deboer's willing to break up his momentum line, though. Plus that makes coming up with lines a ****-ton harder. I wonder if Deboer would every try Josefson with Kovalchuk again this season?
Parise - Elias - Sykora
Kovalchuk - Josefson - Clarkson
Ponikarovsky - Henrique - Zubrus
Boulton - Carter - Bernier
This is me just throwing stuff around, trying to find a way to split up Kovalchuk and Parise while keeping Henrique off the top 2 lines.

Stronger bodies on D?
Watching the Rangers game last night I realized that we lack in size on our D. Every time the Rangers were for checking our D got shoved around. Andy Greene, Larsson, Zidlicky all struggled to get the puck out of our end.
I'm wondering why we don't bring up Urbom or one of the stronger bodies from the AHL to solidify our D somewhat. While our D looks great on paper in a physical game we can't seem to get the puck out of our own end.
I was surprised we didn't go after a Hal Gill type...
Thoughts?
