No. I expect a fine and Bruins player targeting Turris next game. Nothing more.

Corvo stepped back as Turris went to hit him, he was fine as soon as Turris went to the box anyway.

First offense.

He'll get a warning or a fine.

For a hit primarily directed to the chest but ended up high as Corvo sort of leaned back and down. i didn't think it was even worthy of a penalty let alone boarding. Corvo sold it. Reminded me of a call on Konopka earlier in the season where he made every effort to hit the guy from the side but still got a boarding because the guy sold it big time.

After Marchand got away with the clipping he pulled a couple weeks back, I doubt it

I'd be really surprised if he got suspended.

If Turris gets suspended for that when that Bruins defenceman got nothing for that blatant, brutal and clearly intentional knee-on-knee hit on Foligno earlier in the year I'm going to flip out.

Corvo put himself in a very dangerous position by turning away from the boards like that.

Judging from this poll, if there is a suspension, this board is going to tweak.

Penalty for sure

But no way suspension worthy. I hate the Boston announcers, they are some of the most biased idiots I've had the misfortune of listening to.

Anyone else think Turris got 5 minutes for boarding because the penalty was called exactly 5 minutes into the period? I was watching with no sound mind you...

He left his feet, I think he does. First time offender though and Corvo did go backwards that might have caused Turris' hand to jerk back but yea.

Turris gave him a love tap, and the guy sold it pretty good. Just a strong hockey play, am I right Boston.

I'm a bit disappointed in Bruins fans.

I really thought they were different.

But they're whining about suspensions and revenge like crazy.

I'm surprised they're not calling 911.

It was worth a penalty, and it was penalized, but this obsession with a suspension for a first time offender when the guy wasn't even injured is bizarre.

Agreed, there's a boarding/elbowing/checking to the head penalty for a reason.
He got called for 2min.
Corvo changed his body position at the last second, got up and wasn't hurt, the end.

I think he should since he left his feet, but those commentators are a joke.

I bet they were calling for Lucic's head when he blindsided Miller earlier in the season, eh?

Edit: Actually, after watching it again, I'm not so sure that Turris's right foot ever left the ice

When Bergeron was a rookie he concussed a Senator, anyone recall who that was?

It's funny, for a fan base that loves to go on and on about "Bruins" hockey, a lot of them are being big babies about roughed up. Never mind that they won the game, or that both hits were penalized.

Bergeron knocked both Varada and Volchenkov out for the season.

No suspensions for either.
