This is so important. We pretty much have to win today for Nabokov and Parenteau to be in Islander sweaters next season.

Big game today. Today will prove if we're sellers or buyers.... Isles regardless of what people think are still in the playoff hunt.

I think you are the only one, Hunter is/was just as useless as Rolston.

Are you serious. Hunter was crazy bad. The guy skates worse then Trevor Gillies.

Great GDT.

Good luck tonight, guys. 20-year-old Robin Lehner is likely in goal for us. You might remember him from the Poulin incident last season. In any case, he'll have to play pretty damn well if the Sens hope to win.

Konopka is in, Turris likely out.

How has Lehner played this season? If he has been bad Im guessing after the 6-0 beating the Sens put on us at home they are feeling confident enough to play him.

I believe that it's that time of the month my fellow constituents. This game against the Senators will be the most important game of the season for us (which means that the we'll probably lose). We have to win today if we want to have any chance of making the playoffs as well as if we plan on retaining our 2011-2012 superstars, Parenteau and Nabokov. With that being said, I'm pulling out all the stops today and I predict a natural Tavartrick from #91. Oh how sweet it is!

I'm confident that Nabokov is dealt, and I honestly don't know how I feel about that. He starts today, the Islanders win, his value goes up, and he gets dealt.

More than anything else, I want the Islanders to make the playoffs. It's a long shot, but we need it badly.

If he does get dealt it could be to the Sens (depending on how bad Andersons finger is) or Toronto.
Either way, Garth is in the drivers seat and he needs to squeeze their balls in a vise like grip to get all the goodies he can. If they want to play coy, screw 'em.

Edit: Sens got Bishop from the Blues. IDK if they can go to war with an inexperienced guy with 14 career NHL games.

With the way the trade markets developing I think it's going to be awfully tempting to move nabby..

Awesome GDT law!

Big game tonight for our paper slim playoff chances. Unfortunately, we've yet to see the Isles show up ready to play in a big game yet. Not liking our chances this evening, 4-2 OTT.

They played a very physical game v. Bruins yesterday.
We are the more rested team.
If we can come out and bang them hard in the first, especially their older guys like Phillips, Kuba, Alfie, we can wear them down and take it in the third period.
That should be the plan, and with Ullstrom, Cizikas joining Martin, and Hammer back, this is how it should go.

Arthur Staple ‏ @StapeNewsday
Steve Staios (lower body) out today, Mike Mottau in on D for #Isles. Nabokov in goal. Bailey (back) out, Ullstrom in.

Mottau? Oh crap...

Isles tweet: Nabby in goal, Mottau back, Staios day-to-day with lower body injury.

edit: Too slow.

Embarrassing performance by Brodeur and the Devils today. Losing 4-2 at home (4 TB goals on 16 shots) against a team that lost 8-1 yesterday. Of course the Devils could not help us out a bit today...if TB had lost today in reg, OT, or SO, and we win we would jump over two teams in the standings. Thanks Devils, hope we can repay them by beating them three straight times in March during that weirdly scheduled week.

Have to start winning back to back games. No more win one, lose one stuff. Let's get a winning streak going.
