Moulson - Soft as baby poop.
JT - Got some snarl and a mean streak. Don't need him roughing it up, big hit on Callahan Friday.
PAP - Has turned into a bit of a pest, Decent toughness for his size.
Grabner and KO - Two of the softest players in the NHL. Watching these two ballerinas makes me sick at this point.
Fransy - Nothing bad to say about him.
Bailey - Toughness?
Martin - Nuff said.
Casey - Like the way he plays. He brings some grit.
Nino - Second most hits on the team playing with two stiffs with very few minutes. Either that's a lot of hits for him, or our team is softer than I thought. Probably a bit of both.
Reasoner - Pandawful - Go away.

Streit - Not tough at all. He's there with Grabs and KO for me.
Hamonic - Tough, but shouldn't fight. 5 minutes without him is too long.
A- Mac - Blocks too many shots to be considered soft.
Staios - One guy who stuck up for a teammate or two this year. Plenty tough, just over the hill.
Eaton and Mottau - Go away.

This team is inept. Once Ottawa scored the 2nd goal, my mindset was well this game is over.

And who we kidding, the Isles aren't going to do anything. Been reading tweets that Nabby will most likely stay, but please just resign him, don't get nothing for him.

After every game for a good hour, I'm depressed, poor JT, poor JT. Don't you think it must be killer every time he gets the team back in the game, his teammates screw him over.

Well said. I'm fine with moulson being soft though because he atleast finds ways to score, so for me its hard to get on his case to much. He def needs to get stronger though

Arthur Staple saying Isles might make more moves than expected.

This worries me. Please just don't be buyers. We have about a 1% chance at playoffs and even if we do sneak in the 8th seed, we won't be going anywhere. Keep what we need for next season and dish out expendables.

And he might not. It sounds like Art has started channeling Eklund.

"One team may trade for a player on another team tonight."

Not exactly saying much, ya know?

Once again the game was lost in the second period, a period that had their top banger/tough guy and line with next to no ice time. When will coaching learn its all about crowd control and leaving softies to play the game usually loses the game. Stiff doses of ice presence is way underrated and the senators proved it by taking control in the second period.

So, I just watched the game on delay...

Haven't looked at any other news yet (it's like 10 am).

This was the expected STINKER. The truth of this team's near future is clear, if it wasn't already after the 5-1 or 6-0.

I'm hoping very hard that no matter how much it stings his pride, how sensitive he thinks the locker room is, or how much he thinks it sends the 'wrong message' to the youngins (which is what he already sent them last fall when Rolston, Reasoner and Staios were the replacements for Konopka, Hunter, Hillen and Martinek), Snow MUST use this seller's market to already NOW ensure that next year isn't like this one.

**** the end of the season. This team is no position to do anything other than MAYBE not end up with a lottery pick.

And that wouldn't even be wise...

In any case, Snow's previous moves (or lack thereof) long since played their part in digging the grave for this team. Time to do the right thing and maximize the profits of the few desired UFA gems (and maybe more?) from this current nothingness of an NHL club.

Time to unload.

PS)
AND YES, without Parenteau and Nabokov, this team will likely be the worst team in the NHL down the stretch.

It is a one line pony as is and YES - JT, Martin and Hamonic are the cornerstones of the future - but Parenteau right now is simply the best player on the team.

I don't even want to know how non-existent the offense is gonna be without him.

We may find out soon enough.

I'm on that boat.

As a fan, I don't WANT to watch those two (bolded) guys on this team anymore.

They're simply not what I want from Islanders hockey.

I already like the gumption we see from Ullstrom and Rakhshani more.

I am so hoping that Snow is weighing the options on those two at this very moment. We have needs on this team going into the future. They can conceivably help fill a need or two with their departure.

The sad thing is, they prolly got that ice time as a message to lines 2 and 3 that they just aren't getting enough done and that at least line 4 is working hard.

Line three of course consisted of two rookies and a 2nd year banger, but I digress...

This said, I don't think I have ever witnessed a fourth line in the NHL consisting of 3 guys who have all played 35+ games and only have a whopping two (2!!!) goals between them.

Never... The futility is beyond ridiculous.

Agreed with pretty much everything except Moulson. While Moulson doesn't really throw his body around as much as I would like (At all), he's really the only player that comes to mind that will stand infront of the net and take the punishment for a rebound goal.

If I'm a playoff team looking to make a trade for any forward (Islanders or otherwise) Moulson is a playoff type goal scorer...Some 30 goal scorers are "floaters" his game IMO translated to a playoff type of game.

I'm not dogging Matty Mo, one of my favorite players, but he hasn't hit anybody all year long. He gets a pass because he scores a lot, but that doesn't mean he's tough.
