Really?
One of the really nice benefits of having to use a stream is I'm watching the Sharks feed, and for the first time ever, the Sharks post game show. And it is shockingly intelligent. Makes Wild Live look like an episode of Bozo The Clown.

Well from his comments in Russo's blog he sounds like hes at least concerned about his own production, so hopefully he is working on that daily in practice.

On the plus side, everyone can switch over to 'Luck' in a couple minutes. And then Kenny effing Powers after that. Which means no more debating how a couple of plugs played in a fairly meaningless game.

I think I'm back on the bangwagon now. 3 wins in 4. Pushing for 8th place again, hopefully Koivu can get his ass back here full time, but Foster Palmieri, and Veillieux[sp?] looking to get this team back on track.

What is "Luck" a TV show or something?

Not on the MAB or Rolston level, but I remember him firing very nice one-timers from the left side on the PP.

Indeed. On HBO about horse racing. Just a handful of episodes in. I find it interesting so far.

You know, reading the whole GDT is funny when you missed most of the game.

I love it.

If only Terhaar and Greenlay could make it rain like Kenny Powers. "Face Off" would be that much more interesting.

Wild win...my take

http://www.stateofhockeynews.com/201...tlesharks.html

What a difference when you have players taking their chance to shoot the puck. Even if it by themselves they wouldn't go in, you get lucky and it ends up in the back of the net. That's what you see in the playoffs all of the time; just watch Detroit. When they're not able to score pretty goals you see them just throw shots towards the goal and hope for an ugly bounce and more often than not it happens. Nick Palmieri was very assertive out there, I hope he keeps that shoot first mentality. Yeo seemed almost giddy talking about Veilleux's first shift where he was throwing his body around. I have a full post-game recap, and a Houston update as well as prospect updates on Graovac, Bulmer, Haula, Zucker, Phillips, Coyle, and Jobke. Enjoy!

The Wild welcomed three new players to their lineup: defenseman Kurtis Foster, right wing Nick Palmieri and left wing Stephane Veilleux. They were acquired on Friday with draft picks from the New Jersey Devils for dissatisfied defenseman Marek Zidlicky. The Wild have used an NHL-most and franchise-record 42 players this season, nearly double the active roster limit.
Just un-real.

I got to watch the first period, but missed the rest and was happy to see we ended up with the W. Hopefully the new blood injected some fight into this team for the rest of the season.

Great to hear. I also saw some Devils posters call him "Napalm" and I think that rocks.

I also heard that some of them called him "facepalm" this year when he wasnt performing to their expectations.

Two sides to every coin I guess. But I really liked what I saw tonight and I hope he keeps it up.

OK, here are all the thoughts I didn't post during the game ('cause I was there):

- The X was a morgue up until the last four minutes or so (after Ortmeyer's goal). It was pretty bad. I think someone here (NHL1674 maybe?) said that section (216) was pretty particularly awful, and it's completely true. I've gotten dirty looks for booing before, but someone actually turned around and asked me "Are you planning to talk for the whole game? Because some of us are trying to watch a hockey game." What the ****?! Seriously, what the hell is wrong with our crowds?! Since when is there a stigma about talking during a hockey game? It's not a theatre. Also the old dude next to me creepily didn't make a sound for the duration of the game. Like didn't even clap after goals.

- Awesome to see scoring from the blueline. I blame Zids.

- Palmieri looked ****ing great. Robbed twice, and I was sad about it because my friend (who's a big Erie Otters fan) was at his first NHL game and really wanted to see a goal by Palmieri. But man he looked awesome. Maybe not on the same level as Latendresse, but I can definitely see the comparisons. Dude's only 22; I'm really glad to have him in the organization long-term.

- Foster looked all right. Not flawless, but a good presence.

- Veilleux was invisible. Then again, so was Heatley.

- Really impressed with the team/attitude overall. So many times I really expected them to just pack it in, like when they were down 2-0 and then again down 3-2. Unexpected resilience.

- Glad I didn't have to use the paper bag I brought!!

You mean NAPALM?

Watched half of the 3rd period from the gym. I thought we looked pretty good. It was really weird seeing 3 new faces on the ice. I thought it was really refreshing and brought the entire team's energy to a new level.

He's a RFA after this year but it'll be nice to be able to keep his rights. Much like Latendresse.
