not sure why i wrote "on vehicle" in the subject, but....
Someone hit my passenger side mirror in a public parking lot. They didn't stick around and karma will come around to them, I'm sure.
I called the dealership, and it will run me $500 plus tax to get fixed.
Anywhere in town I can go to get this replaced?
2008 black Hyundai Santa Fe.
In my car repair experience i have always found it cheaper to order the part myself (or go through a buddy who owns/works for an autobody shop who can get you the part at cost) and then simply have it painted professionally to your specific paint at a reputable company then simply do the installation yourself....and if you are unsure of how to do this you can either pick up the vehicle specs guide or go online. Last time i did this i saved $600 on my rear bumper which was estimated at $1000 to repair from the dealership but ended up costing me $200 cost price for bumper plus $200 to paint it then i simply installed myself. Also you can try looking for spare parts from used car yards like union auto.
