I'm stuck with a sportsnet feed and got to tell you it's such a fresh breath of air from tsn. Yay for tsn breaking the trades first but sn is really very well run . Only downside so far is having Garrioch on tv but hey, I'll take it
Summary of Senators Review

-Trade Bait is Butler, Konopka
-Ben Bishop fills hole for Anderson
-Brent Wallace says minor moves depth up front and on defence
-LISTED NICK FOLIGNO as potentially a movable object
-Karlsson is JESUS
Ugh, I'm actually sick today, not just "Deadline Day, So I'lll Call In Sick But I'm Miraculously Better By 3:30 PM To Go Out Later Tonight" sick.
Just tuning in, Pierre is on TSN explaining how to beat Ottawa in a playoff series: dump the puck into the right corner, smash Karlsson mercilessly, reap benefits over a 7-game series.

I really wish we don't give up our 1st. Can't do that as a rebuilding team.
Well, it depends on who we get back.
If you could move your 1st rounder for a young player who will have an impact this year and will be with the team for 5+ years, then it makes sense, because you're not trading AWAY futures, you're just buying development years, in a sense.
But clearly, for anything else, I agree: it would be a setback to the rebuild.
I don't think LA will move him unless it's to make room for another trade. It's an expiring contract... he's played like garbage, but there's no motivation to move him otherwise.
