Rumors out there that the return Montreal is getting for Kostitsyn is the rights to Radulov.

*edit*
Unsubstantiated rumors, obviously. Also reports it's KosTits for a pick.

*edit2*
Doesn't look like it's for Radulov.

*edit3*
Official, Kostitsyn for 2nd rounder in 2013, and they get back the conditional pick they gave up in the Hal Gill trade.

I checked Sportsnet very briefly earlier, but switched right back to TSN when I saw that jackass Cox on there. I can't stand him.

Aahah, I agree. Garrioch is also there.

I'm just waiting for Murray.

There's murray and maclean sitting in their office. Cool. Not much happening though.

And yeah, damien cox is absolutely horrible. I can barely look at his face, nevermind listening to him.

Wow. I didn't realize how well Sergei Kostitsyn is doing offensively in Nashville.

So Sportsnet has Garrioch AND Cox?

AND Kypreos?

AND Doug Maclean?

...

Oh god, I just threw up in my mouth a bit. That's possibly the single most annoying assembly of jack@sses ever assembled.

Steve Simmons on tsn annoys me more than anyone else, he should go talk about baseball or basketball, not that he knows anything about that either, but still.

That is a very good idea.

Brb.

... For the record, Gauthier (and Gainey before him) has completely destroyed any chance the Montreal Canadiens have of being competitive over the next 3-4 years, at least.

Just one bad trade after another.

Disappointed about no big trades on #tradecentre yet? Maybe this pic of vintage Pierre McGuire will cheer you up:

Made me chuckle!

Rumour has it the #Sens are getting some calls on Matt Carkner. Don't know if Murray wants to move defensive depth though.

Also, can't believe the Habs couldn't even manage to get a late first in a shallow draft for Kostitsyn.

Murray interview summary:

- Quiet day.
- Happy with the team right now.
- Getting some calls, but not a lot.
- Not interested in rentals, only players who can come in for a few years.
- Think we need a to 6 forwards, but doesn't know where to find one.
- Talked about Bishop with St. Louis before Andy got hurt.
- Doesn't know who the backup will be.
- Lehner playing tomorrow night.
- Not doing anything with D.
- Think we have a chance to do well.
- Extremely happy with McStache. (obviously)
- When asked if he like them having nothing to talk about he said "Well, we're trying to be creative to give you something to talk about."

If the return is good, pull the trigger.

I think Carkner has more value than a 6th or 7th round pick would to this team for the sheer fact that, despite his poor play this year, he knows Maclean's system and might be a better "injury replacement" defenceman than anyone else we have now.

Depends on how Murray sees Borowiecki as a viable "black ace" for the playoffs.

Also, I suppose, it depends on whether we bring in a DIFFERENT defenceman today (ie: an upgrade). If so, see ya, Carks.
