Johnson's already betraying us West Coasters by making his first game start at 10 AM.

And I thought he had character.

This one gets as ugly as the Pens want it to be. I doubt the Pens are real engaged though. They toy with us and win without really trying, 4 - 1. If they want it to be 10 - 1 it will be. Good luck to RJ, playing in his hometown.

Meh, Pens fans will have a good time at our expense, as they should.

I am looking more forward to Tuesday when the Wings will come in and crush us, but at least we will get a look at some young players, JJ, and God knows who else.

The good news is that it won't spoil our evening. Can't see a Jacket win but stranger things have happened.

Sanford is in net so it should not be too devastating. If Mace were starting this one ............

What about DSL, attending this game in his hometown? And rooting against the team of his youth in the city of his youth?

Found myself in the same position in our 1st game ever. Part of me was even still happy when they won the Cup. I rationalized that at that point it didn't matter how far the Blackhawks went.

For anyone who's interested in this sort of thing, there's a Jacket Backers game watching party at the Polaris BWW. I'll be the one handing out the raffle tickets (some are free).

Not till Tuesday. Something about Canada and US not able to differentiate a threat with a hockey player. Work visa issue.

Well played, Sam.

Wish I could be there to have a nice Primanti sandwich and enjoy the game.

Hopefully the Pens used all their offense yesterday.

Well, thankfully I found a recipe for a basic Primanti sandwich.

You will need:
1) Thick-cut white bread. If none can be found, use four pieces of Wonder Bread.
2) Shredded cabbage. Don't bother doing anything to it.
3) Various cold cuts. These need not be premium; Wal-Mart's deli will be fine.
4) One bag of Ore-Ida french fries. Don't season them at all.
5) One quart of Crisco.

Put quart of Crisco in a deep skillet over high heat. Prepare fries by frying in Crisco. Allow to come back toward room temperature, so that everything congeals into an easy-to-use cake of fries and grease. Remove fries cake, and lower heat to medium.

In the same skillet, put bread on one side and cold cuts on the other. Keep them moving, so as to allow maximum grease absorption. Without removing from skillet, put cold cuts on half of the bread, then top with cabbage and fries cake. Top with bread. Garnish with remaining grease.

Enjoy! And just remember, that tingling down your left arm is just part of the experience!

(Disclaimer: don't actually try this recipe. Also, it sounds like it would taste better than my actual experience at Primanti)

If you don't have Crisco, can you substitute lard?

No, because lard isn't as bad for you. Also, it tastes better.

You guys are nuts!! LOL Glad to see some humor...

I'm still cheering for the Jackets. I don't think we're that far off. Lines look better with the addition of Wiz and Jack. Umberger is on the top line. That should please the RJ faithful. Brass is so awesome, according to his posse, that he can single handedly win most games.

Y'all might be surprised at what you see.... I think they can do it.
