If it weren't for Sanford, we would be down 4-0

That is a high probability statement... One way or another we need a bunch of new players with or without Nash. In the end I don't think Nash can be the only central figure on the CBJ if they are going to be a consistent winner.

If Nash being traded IS the answer, fine, but I'd rather it be done by someone who is competent, not the Dumb and Dumber front office we have. They've screwed us up so much, and now they're trading the one guy identifiable with the CBJ?

Ok, we have played four periods without a goal, and we are facing a raw rookie goalie..

The team in front of him beat the Lightning 8-1 yesterday, I'll take a scoreless first period.

They'll come. Brass has looked dangerous, RJ is killing that line. Put Cam on that line and see what happens.

I hope others have realized how well brass has played this past month or so.. ignore points and he is just playing so smooth and his playmaking and making space has been fun to watch

I just don't see Nash as being the guy to build the team around. 14-2 SOG. His play the last two seasons has been mediocre at best. Maybe I am wrong.

Seems to me, build the team from the back starting in goal and defense and work your way out. I dunno.

JJ really moves the puck well. I think he'll provide loads to your current D. But your offense seems to lack the "rush". The forward carries the puck to the offensive zone, then dumps or stops making the pens gather their defensive positions. Does your offense play like this most of the time, or is ist just a temporary dip?

I usually don't watch the jackets game, but I come in peace.

Build the team the opposite of what this organization has done in the past. Having competent goaltending and defense allows you to compete. Consistent scoring is the least of our problems, imo. Its a big problem but...
