It was a joke. I don't mind Tambo standing pat but many posters on this website will be carving him up at around 1pm local time.

How is it totally different? He kept to himself and got a cold every time the temperature dipped below zero.

He's such an idiot. Easily the worst person on TSN.

If it was a one time deal, maybe but everytime Edmonton comes up, Duthie is quick to mention how no one wants to live here and that Edmonton sucks. So yes, I am thinking you are being too positive about him.
Well, Edmonton is the northernmost location of the Canadian hockey franchises so i can understand why there are frigid climate digs being taken at the city.
Minneapolis gets the same treatment in the states, Green Bay in football etc.
I don't think that it's a big deal IMO.

Any chance John Carlson is available?

I think Gagner for Carlson might work, maybe even sweeten the pot throw in a prospect or a pick.

I like it for Nashville.

Trotz gets the most out of his players, and A-Kost is a good player.

He adds grit and scoring to that team. I still don't think they are done though.

I think they'll add a C after they traded Smithson.

Doubtful, I don't see Alzner or Carlson going anywhere. They could move a d-man, but it sooner be Hamrlik or Schultz.

We will have to sweeten the pot, obviously.....Young D studs are worth more the forwards.

But this is a deal I would be all over, scene both play here in London for the Knights.....Carlson is exactly what this team needs, and is unlike any of out D prospects (Klefbom/Marincin/Musil) he ooooozes, Offense.

But what do we add?

Obviously if something like this were to go thru, we would be drafting Gregorenko without question.

It's possible I am overreacting, but Duthie says something similar every time Edmonton comes up . Every single time. He can't say anything about the kids or anything else, only the weather and the fact that no one wants to sign here.

And besides, nothernmost city or not, our average winter temperature isn't that far off Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg or Calgary, and yet we're the unlivable wasteland and they are just normal Canadian cities.

I doubt hemmer would have gotten more than AK47. Good to see we stood pay if it was just a late 2nd and 3rd. Good move for Nashville (although I traded SK for Malone in the draft game hahaha)

Calgary is just as cold as Edmonton, according to my phone. Let's see if Duthie makes a comment about that. Likely not.

I honestly do not understand why TSN and SNET dislike Edmonton so much.

I bet TSN can't wait to give Burkie the Blowhard some airtime, Simmons and those reporter jerks must be salivating.

Unless Washington is willing to part with Alzner or Carlson, I see no reason for us to move Sam. If Hamrlik or Schultz is what they are offering, Gagner's name shouldn't even approach the table if I am Tambo.

Didn't say I want Belanger traded.

He has value to a team like us because of his strength in PK & faceoff, and I think he might be able to help RNH about faceoff as well.

Just that these strengths makes him even more valuable for a playoff team or one fighting for a playoff spot. I was wondering what if a team like Anaheim comes calling or offer something decent.

I hope everyone got F5 key insurance.

I just realized that even though I had my mind set on having a productive day, it's not happening. Crap.

I always laugh at TSN's "The Reporters" section. A bunch of self-important, know-nothing blowhards that drool over anything Burke and the leafs do. It's funny watching them spin everything into a pro-leafs stance.

I agree, I don't think now is the time to move Gagner anyway.

Team 1260 just said the best offer for Hemsky was a 2nd and 4th (from Nashville) and that's why they decided to keep him.

I'm even more glad they signed him to that two year deal.

Honestly, when Simmons was talking about washington and how their core wasn't doing anything, I thought he was going to suggest Mcphee trade Ovie to the Leafs.

the caps have 3 guys I would be very interested in - Orlov, Holby, and Kuznestov. Two of those for Gagner makes us a better team in the long term.

The caps may feel they have too many Russians and may want to diminish Ovechkin's influence by dumping a few. They also have a ton of cap space so Belanger and Smyth are feasable and exactly what they need.

Galiardi is available apparently. Perfect 3rd liner I'd love to have here but I'm guessing he'll be going to a cup contender for depth.
