Also, if they do go out and get Bishop I wouldn't be surprised if Auld found himself on waivers in very short order.

Seems strange a team like Tampa Bay wouldn't trade more than a 3rd for him, then play him the rest of the season to make him RFA?

Ok... if all they want is a third round pick. Make the deal.

What will we be doing with Auld now? Assuming we keep Bishop for the back-up role, Auld becomes redundant. Do we ship him out for a late round pick if possible and role with Bishop/Lehner until Andy is back? It was the 6th round pick he got us last time that become Mark Stone, or do we send him to the AHL to be with Lehner.

Waivers. Lehner goes back. Start next year with Anderson and Bishop.

I agree as well

And Andy doesn't have to play 72 games

I love this trade because we didn't give up any prospect.

I'm still thinking we make a trade for a top 6.

Anyone think we should try and claim Grant Clitsome?

I'd like to see him in a Schubert role. Plays the wing and plays sparingly on defence. He's a good skater and is somewhat physical when he wants to get going. Has a decent offensive game as well. He's also from Ottawa, which would obviously intrigue Murray.

Preface: Deal not likely to happen but I want to see what other Sens fans think.
Any interest in Stastny? Add him to our 2nd line as a playmaker to complement Turris. Gives us flexibility on the dot on that line too. Could anchor our 2PP unit too. He's got a huge cap hit though and is underachieving. It'd be a gamble. I'm also not sure whether he or Turris would actually be a good fit on the wing. Either way I think they'd need to be complemented by a two-way guy who's good in the corners or a powerforward who can crash the net.

Stastny would cost a pretty penny as well.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw he went on waivers. He's had a tough year in Columbus, but he's shown he can be be a good 3-4 2way dman. I think I would pick him up if we had the chance.

Bryan Murray told me "we don't have an immediate target" when I asked him about adding a depth forward tomorrow

I know he is cocky (in a good way), but goalies who can legit play in the NHL at 20 are rare, and he's going to have to realize he will need to be the starter somewhere else if he wants to be the starter here, and the AHL is the best spot for his development ATM. Playing backup to Andy is not going to help him see pro-caliber shots during the heat of a meaningful game, and won't help him be a better goalie in the future.

Just my $0.02, though...
Holy cow...

Someones actually got some sense around here!

Ryan Jones would be a nice depth forward who can score the bottom 6 some goals

I think Auld stays as the backup in Ottawa until the end of the yr when Anderson returns if Murray can't trade him tomorrow & Bishop helps out Bingo for a while. I would also like to see if Murray can pick up a decent defenceman tomorrow if possible but more likely this summer during the free agency market. I also thinks he goes after at least one good defenceman at the draft maybe even with his first pick.

bishop is on a two way so we could easily see both him and lehner down there for the rest of the year

I would be shocked if Bishop goes to BIngo this deal is to help Ottawa and give Lehner some more time.
