Yep, and although strange things happen, I'd be very surprised if he returned a 1st round pick. He'd be such a good fit in Carolina.

He doesn't exclusively play with Tavares. Even so, his playmaking ability and style of play are what the Canes lack.

Maybe he'd turn Staal into a 3 points/game player against the Islanders...

He isn't. He only spends 51% of his time with Tavares and outproduces Moulson who spends 93% of his time with Tavares.

Come on, Rutherford, show some actions. Would love to see good hockey trade, not just rental for pick. I like Morrow, Brown, Raymond or even D. Jones. But not a Frolik fan. He's nothing more than that dead weight we have it here. I'm in favour of trading some of prospects (Bowman, Dalpe or Boychuk) if we get it in return a strong and quality player. Right now Mason Raymond seems to be low risk high reward guy.

Why wouldn't they be at practice if they haven't been traded yet?

I don't think JR would be like "lol, don't come to practice because we might trade you"

If Allen walks, you need a guy like Cole. Nobody else ready in the organization with his skill set. Big difference between number and kind of Dmen.

That's a bold move by Nashville... and a very, very good one. I would absolutely not want to face that team in the playoffs.

Good move by Nashville, but what we really need is for an undisputed contender (Vancouver, Boston, Detroit, NY Rangers) to make a move to get better. That will hopefully start a chain reaction of panic moves for teams trying to keep up. So far, it's been the middling teams making the moves (Los Angeles, Calgary, Nashville, Florida), and I'm not sure that's scaring anyone.

It's interesting to watch a GM who wants to win go to work...

But hey, at least we like our guys.

JR has become too attached to players and it's hurting the franchise
