I lived in Edmonton for 4 years...my brother still lives there, and I have alot of friends there. Really want this win.
Unfortunatly, I might be a jinx. I have a very mediocre record at MTS centre (as seen in my sig) and I leave the country for a week and they go on a tear! End up 1st in the Division...within 2 hours of me getting back in Canada they fell to 2nd in the division...

Unfortunately, you are in the minority out here my friend. Most in Alberta are quit ignorant towards anything Winnipeg related. But its always a nice change of pace to hear the opposite for a change!

Please destroy the coilers. I want them beat down and humiliated so I don't have to take any **** from arrogant Albertans. Please and thanks!
Edmontonian here. I wish nothing for the best for your team- and I'd never make fun of a Jets fan since we almost lost our team around the same time. Win or lose, may the best club win. The speed and young talent on display should make for an entertaining affair.

Well, I'm 0-2 at the MTS Centre
So.
At least you're +2 lol
hopefully ps241's dad brings some good luck tomorrow. (great post btw ps241....)
Marked this one on my calendar when the schedule was released. Edmonton always got the best of Atlanta. Let's hope the move to Winnipeg can change those fortunes.
Who gets booed? Eberle is too loved by Canadians for his WJC heroics. My money's on Hall and Hemsky.

Dunno which part of Edmonton you hear that in. Wearing a Jets tshirt in the summer/fall, and wearing my jersey in the winter, I've gotten tons of compliments. Hell, even the Jets lanyard I keep my keys on gets me compliments walking around the city, in the bars, etc.

That's all nice and dandy, but I'm referring more specifically to Albertans looking down on Winnipeg as a city in general. Who knows though, maybe now that a team is back, Winnipeg MIGHT be given some credit. If that is the case though, that just goes to show you just how shallow people can be.
Just a quick thing to jog the memory for the people who are softening up to the Oilers
1982/1983 playoffs Smythe Semi Final: Lose series 3-0 to Edmon"toes"

I just can't find it in myself to hate the Oilers anymore.
They have been so bad for so long it's like hating stray starving cat,
As someone who:
A: remembers the Oilers kicking Jets buts all through the 80s,
B: who supported the Flames in the dark days of '96 to '11; and
C: whose in-laws are all Oilers fans
