So of the group of offensive players that we are rumored to be interested in, which is the best penalty killer? That's the number one thing (at this point to me the only thing really) we lose in Dubi and as long as PP is below average we need to maintain our PK as one of the best.

Is Garrison really that good or does he just get tremendous power play time and is feeding off of players like Versteeg and Weiss?

Unless it's for a significant upgrade like Nash, Ryan, etc, Duby won't be traded. The only way Duby goes is if it's part of a package for a better player. Any other trade makes us worse, thus won't be done.

He has a booming shot, but not an exceptional passer. He seems decent defensively too.

Dude's got a cannon, and an accurate one at that. He scores goals from the blue line...If he's even just drawing some attention back there it frees Cally or whomever up to work down low...

I have no idea why Florida would trade him though. Don't think he's available

Don't think that's enough, and considering how much Garrison has been looking for from florida, I don't think it's a good idea.

Why would Florida trade him when they are in the thick of a playoff race?

I'm not sure the Rangers will do anything significant.....

If he was available, my guess would be Chicago.

Gotta give to get. We can't stand pat. I dont advocate anything drastic to alter the chemistry, but we need a spark for sure.

I read that he is looking for a new contract for $4 - 4.5 million...and Florida just won't do that

There has been speculation that they would trade him because they are having a hard time re-signing him, but I really can't see them trading him. They will do their best to work it out, but they aren't going to compromise their playoff chances this year.

Maybe, but considering where they are at, I would think they would hold onto him and have them help their team make the playoffs.

Sure we can. We need a couple bodies for depth, but we don't really need anything big. I'd love to add a goal scorer, but there just isn't much out there. Better to make no deal than make the wrong deal.

I agree..The wrong deal is something we do not need at all. Blowing up the team for a Nash is the wrong way. Depth and scoring should be the focus. If a deal is there...go for it. If not? Don't overpay. Simple.

How about PMB from Minnesota, maybe we stick him with Gabby and something could spark?

Garrison is pretty good. He just came off missing 5 games though but he has a great slapshot. First game back yesterday and he scored with it against the Habs.
