Burke changes his stance more than Mitt Romney.

As far as overrated players... they become overrated because they play for the Leafs, is pretty much the long and short of it.
That might be true in the case of a Schenn or a Grabovski. Phaneuf, Armstrong, and Komisarek were overrated long before the Leafs acquired them.

Bobby Mac thinks Derek Roy might move.

Can he play LW?

Yeah he's played there before at times. The rumors about his attitude concern me a bit, but there's no denying he's very skilled and could be a great pickup. Manageable cap hit for another year as well.

No thanks on Derek Roy. More of a playmaker than a scorer. Not what we need.

If the Rangers don't make a trade today, then they'll have been sellers at the deadline

Sounds like not a whole lot is going to happen. My take is that the market is correcting itself from what GM's want for players the last few years, and new impending CBA hampering guys with bigger contracts from being moved.

What ever happened to the days where you needed to move your toilet and fridge in front of the television so you didn't miss any of the action?

Wouldn't mind playing him with Gaborik, although I think Arty's defensive presence on that line is very underrated.

Any updates on BUF wanting a 1st for Gaustad?

Hilarious, since they should have been sellers all those years, and this is the first time where they really should be buyers.

Pierre McGuire just got off the phone with a gm who said the asking price for one of their players who was a UFA and most likely a 3-4th liner was a 1st.

Sounds like Gaustad...

Because if Roy can play LW you end up finally being able to slot Arty back to 3rd line center where (in my opinion) he is at his best.

And you can finally shift Rupp-Boyle-Prust back to a 4th line. Dubi-Arty-Fedotenko becomes the third. Mitchell can practice stickhandling moves up in the press box.

Glad I didn't take off work today for this!

Though honestly, the way my day is going, I'd rather be home.

Roy isn't a typical veteran presence. He's quiet. The few times he's talked about Buffalo it's been kind of negative, reminds me of Christiansen in that respect. I think he'd be a great addition to the Rangers because of the existing leadership on the team.
