seriously i think we played ok, take St Lois out of the situation and the devils would have walked out 3-1 winners, one guy got hot and we paid for it. Take this as inspiration to bounce back against the rangers tomorrow

Larsson looked tentative and slow today, which is probably attributable to the injury.

Tough guy.
maybe he got a concussion, causing him to ice the puck with 3 seconds left

I'd hate to go back and count how many times this has happened this season.

There is a reason to get pissed about losing games you should win. Has nothing to do with self-deprication (which does happen plenty here I do admit).
You are right it could turn into a 5 game losing streak. Or they could beat some tough teams to ensure that doesn't happen like they did after the all star game. Put some faith in your team, my goodness. No wonder the Rock has a reputation for being a morgue.

Didn't really show up is all, most guys were out of sync, it happens

Moving along to the Rangers

Also, how do the refs miss that high stick on Parise?

Not really, no excuse to play so poorly yet again today, the team is just not trustworththy, simple as that. They let a horrendous team come into Newark today and beat them.

PS: How do the refs miss that high stick on Parise?
It's been happening too much this season, they do not play like a team that has a killer instinct. Don't want Parise ever again talk about atmosphere at The Rock when they continuely play flat and awful at home most games.

Chere: Brodeur on playing back-to-back days (rolling his eyes): "I got 14 shots Friday and 16 shots today. I think I'll be alright."

Prob could not blame MB for both losses, but why not play Moose today?

I think the problem is the lighting at the rock...the lights are to high in the ceiling. How does anyone expect them to score with such poor lighting?

I think they should lower the lights then trade Janssen.

Either way, I'm not worried about Zajac not coming back, not worried about potential future losses vs the Caps and other teams and a prolonged losing streak, nor other brands of fear and loathing.

Which is why I do not fit in on this thread. I do not react to adversity (if losing a couple of hockey games, as just a fan no less, is "adversity" ) in the emo mode popular around here currently.

So I'll exit stage right.
im with you, it seems when the team wins a game we should have lost the crazies can look objectively that marty was good, we got a few bounces, t hats hockey. when the team loses a game they should have won, the whole organization and the prior 60 games go out the window and we need to trade josephson for a 4th line center that can win draws. i don't get it, i too want to throw a shoe at the wall ( who throws a shoe?) when they lose these types of games, but have played and watched enough hockey iin my life to have seen these types of games 1,000 times, you get nervous when your team generates no chances for long periods of times, gives up tons of good scoring chances every night, can't kill penalties consistantly, you don't throw your hands up at a 2 game skid where the team played generally well in both games. im through please beat the rangers not for the two points but this message board

WHo proof reads Chere's articles? In the title it says Larsson is a minus 2 but when I checked the stats for the game he was zero.

At least Kovalchuk hit 60 points today.

Some idiots were booing him because a pass hit a skate, even though he was having a good game today, the pucks just weren't bouncing his way. I realized that he still has haters, even though they've been quiet ever since he's been injured
